Flickers of early morning light seeped through the curtains as Casey opened bleary eyes to stare up at the ceiling. Shards of the nightmare slashed through her mind. Was there a presence in this room last night that tried to kill her? Did she see the ghostly image of Sean O’Malley? Is Ms. Emily right and someone or something is haunting Glendara? Shaking the fogginess from her brain, she determined that what happened last night was all in her head. To think I saw what I thought I saw is complete nonsense. Get a grip. You had a nightmare.
