I. Secularism: For me secularism defines a person who does not believe in Jesus Christ. Which makes me question the lifestyle of a person not living for Christ, a secular way of living is a person who lives and tends to show a destructive behavior with no consequence for their actions. Example of the lifestyle would be premarital sex, drunkenness, drug abuse, abortion, lying, and homosexuality in our world today. Secularism was first discovered in 1400 this was during the Renaissance days, toward the end of this period empirical science developed and the key players were Nicholas Copernicus (1473-1543), Johannes Keller (1571-1630), and Galileo Galilee (1564-1642). According to Dean Halverson in his writing on secularism p.1. They viewed science as studying the handiwork of an almighty Creator and discovering his laws. The origin of secularism is that the universe is the product of chance or pure contingency. Everything that is, is an accident. Everything is the product of chaos, flux, and randomness are king, personality, meaning, and universal laws of logic clearly have no place. If the secular- evolutionary is true which their not, then your life and existence have no meaning whatsoever so what are they living for? For this reason I ask the question how do they fill about themselves? What would they say about their identity? They believe they evolve from an animal and they are nothing more than an animal, they believe they posses potential for improving life for people. They believe that education, science, technology can remedy mans basic problems, mans basic problem is that he is supersticous, ignorance, and religious. What is the meaning/purpose of a secularist person? The accumulation of knowledge and research from education and scientific research is their purpose in this life. Life on earth is all there is, the here and now the presence is more important,” living life like there’s no tomorrow”. The morality of a secularist do posses have a form of morality and know right from wrong but is based on reason and science not of Gods laws. The believe there human intelligence discovers truth, and that there is no divine revelation which they reject, they do not believe absolute laws all the moral laws are based on their human opinion. The destinies of a secularist person where they end up when they die believe there is no life after death.

II. Looking back in a public school I realize I was adoctrinated into this philosopy of life known as Secluar Humanisum as a Christian now, I can redily see and compare the differences between the two worldview. As a Christian I belive that God created me in his on image Genisis1-27; we are not simply a product of evolution evolved from amoeba but rather we are loved and valued by our Creator(Psalm8 3:8). Seclar Humanist attributes human problems to mankinds ignorance and superstition however, the Bible teaches that man is a sinner which is the rute of all mankinds problems(Romans3:23). The Bible teaches all of mankinds probles are spiritual in nature and can only be resvolved not threw mans intelligence or enginerring but threw salvation threw Jesus Christ. In the past I have had friends who were Secular Humanist for them life after death was a myth so there for they beived in the here and now if they found themselves prgant without being married, they had no remorse in getting an abortion. Using drugs or living the high life wasn’t a sin because they didn’t beive in sin or God to have to give an account of the behavior Always pleasure of the moment. Christian belives that since we were made in Gods image God, has given us an inate ability to know right from wrong(Romans1:19): 14-15 God commands to study his word in order to guide the Christians to live a Holy and separated life threw the inspiration of the Holly Spirit man is able to grow and mature to become more like Christ who is the epiopome of morality. Seclar Humanist rejects absolute morality based on Gods word they fill that the Bible is a book of superstition and is unitelligable. The base there standards of morality of person choice and heightended awareness threw education and science. As a Christian Jesus Christ threw his grace and mercy saved me from death, distruction and hell he gives me eternal life by the blood he shed on the Cross he promised to go and prepare a place for me and will live with him eternally(John14:3). Humanist rejects life after death.
