...collection, processing, documenting and communicating it to the people. Hence, a major portion of the overheads go into this kind of unproductive work in the organization. Every individual in an organization is continuously looking for some information which is needed to perform his/her task. Hence, the information is people-oriented and it varies with the nature of the people in the organizationwhich is outlined in this courses.  Benefits: * Management Information Systems - Concept * Management Process * Information Concepts * Development of Plans of the MIS * Database and Enterprise Management Systems   INTRODUCTION TO MANAGEMENT INFORMATION SYSTEMS   Management Information Systems - Concept  The concept of the MIS has evolved over a period of time comprising many different facets of the organizational functions.  MIS is necessity of all the organizations.    The initial concept of MIS was to process data from the organization and present it in the form of reports as regular intervals. The system was largely capable of handling the data from collection to processing. It was more impersonal, requiring each individual to pick and choose the processed data and use it for his requirements. This concept was further modified when a distinction was made between data and information.  The information is a product of an analysis of data.  This concept is similar to a raw material and the finished product.  What is needed is information and not a mass of data.  However...

Wood (ID# L25703677) September 1, 2013 Contents Introduction……………………………………………………………………………………….1 Brief Summary…………………………………………………………………………………….1 Critical Interaction………………………………………………………………………………...2 Conclusion Selected Bibliography Introduction This paper is a critical examination of Stephen Andrew’s “Biblical Inerrancy” as published January of 2002 in the Chafer Theological Seminary Journal. Andrew writes the article as a graduate student at Fuller Theological Seminary pursuing a Master of Arts in Theology. In the exposition he presents a historical overview of the biblical inerrancy debate and reviews arguments concerning inerrancy of the bible as relevant to modern evangelicalism. Due to spatial limitations, Andrew restricts his focus to examining the views in support of and against inerrancy from four major perspectives: the slippery slope, epistemological, historical, and biblical arguments. Brief Summary The article is written as an exhortation for the promotion and defense of the inerrancy doctrine while warning against a universal acceptance of all supporting arguments. Andrew opens by defining inerrancy according to Paul D. Feinberg1, as well as Article XII of the Chicago Statement on Biblical Inerrancy2;...

The Providence of God

...JOURNAL ARTICLE CRITIQUE of Wright, John H. “The Eternal Plan of Divine Providence.” Alma College 27-57. Introduction There are many components in theology that make up one’s entire theological stance. Some components are major, while others just serve as topics of debate. Understanding theology is much more than the typical Sunday school lesson, but requires far more time, energy and patience from the one seeking the understanding. The question of the providence of God is one topic that takes this time, energy and patience. The time spent exploring this topic is well worth it. Wright states, “But the question (of providence) is finally unavoidable, and the answer one attempts to give to it will necessarily affect all the rest of one’s theological outlook.”[1] My purpose for this paper is the analyze Wright’s article with a critical lens. Brief Summary Wright easily lays the foundation of his entire article. He writes, “At what point does God’s providence escape the human category of “plan” and assert its own transcendental uniqueness and mystery?”[2] Wright unwraps the differing views of the providence of God, continuing to point back to St. Thomas Aquinas, “the master.”[3] He also discusses the views of the classical Thomist school and the Molinist school, and defines general providence, special providence and most special providence (predestination). Wright points the reader back to scripture, where there is plenty of evidence supporting the idea...

Descriptive Research

...University – Commerce Department of Engineering & Technology TMGT 595 – Applied Research in Engineering & Technology Descriptive Research Study & Final Manuscript Each student will select a research topic of their choice appropriate to their degree field (technology management, safety management, or management information systems). Research topics must be submitted and approved by the instructor. A research question will be formulated for the topic and a descriptive archival study will be conducted. A descriptive study does not seek to show causal effects rather it is used to establish what currently exists. Data collection is commonly performed with surveys, questionnaires, standardized tests, or other direct observation instruments. The time limitation within the course does not permit a full descriptive study to be conducted. Rather than developing instruments and collecting actual data (which should not be done), each student will utilize data and findings from related published studies to establish what currently exists for a given phenomenon. The study will culminate in the preparation of a research paper suitable for publication. Each student will investigate and identify a journal that would be appropriate for their research paper topic. Note: The paper does not have to actually be submitted for publication. ------------------------------------------------- Each assignment is to be a unique and individual project.
