My senior capstone is about to becoming a great coach in basketball or just in sports. Coaching is the guy that keep the locker room organized, who conducts the practice, and the guy who make you lift weights and run laps. They help you get better in basketball and just a better person in life because there is no team without a coach everything thing starts with you. You are the leader and the role model that young kids or teenagers need to teach them to learn responsibility or discipline. Coaches keeps everything stable because if you a bad coach you will lose a lot of games , and me being the competitor I am that will ruin the team and the locker room. Also, coaching is very challenging there is never the point you can say I …show more content…
Game planning, tempo, defenses, offenses, pressing, using timeouts and substitutions all falls under game strategy, without all of that you can compete with everything every coach have to have a game strategy. Game planning is when you scouting and reviewing film on the upcoming opponent. While you are watching film you discuss what to during plays and what to do against their defense. It is important to really pay attention to film and to understand what to do to give your team to best chancing of winning the game. Film shows your strength and weakness and what are you need improvement in. Don’t every change your playing style make your opponent change their game plan because you will have a better chance of winning. Now to game tempo is the pace of the game you want your team to go in. Athletic teams tends to have a fast tempo, which means they try to score on fast break constantly, but those tends usually have trouble scoring in the half-court offense. Next, is the old man tempo, when you play at a slow pace and you dominate the half-court offense and slow on fast break and usually score low amount of points. Next, is defense where the coach determine whether you play man-to-man or zone? I personally prefer man-to-man where you can put intense pressure on the other team, but do not not hesitate to go zone if I feel it will give us an advantage, or a better chance of winning. There are many types of zones the 2-3 and 1-2-2 in our arsenal, and periodically review our zone coverage patterns. The 2-3 zone is where the 2 guards over above the 3point line and the other 3 players are behind them the center right in front of the rim and the other 2 are the base line. When your players are tired and out of breathe you should switch to zone, so you can go back to man when you got your breathe back. Also, change from man-to-man to a

Decision in Paradise Ii

...McPhee May 5,2012 Decisions in Paradise – Part II Most business decisions are taken by senior executives based on assessments that will determine in advance what will happen if the business takes the expected direction. Financial tools (i.e. cost benefit analysis) are truly helpful during the decision-making process; however, they should never be confused with the decision as the outcome of the decision-making process (Langdon, 2001). In “Decision in Paradise – Part 2”, Joey will utilize a decision-making technique that is suitable for this scenario as well provide a step-by-step analysis while utilizing the technique. Finally, he will discuss the decision-making model he selected and how the model selected influences his proposed solutions. Cost Benefit Analysis The decision-making technique that Joey selected for his business study at Kabo is the cost benefit analysis. The cost benefit analysis is completed in order to determine how well or poor a plan will turn out. Cost benefit analysis is also known as “running the numbers” as it relies on adding positive factors and subtracting the negative ones in order to determine a net result. The difference that is found between benefits and costs will advise if the plan is feasible. The cost benefit analysis must include all the costs, all the benefits and properly quantify them in order to get accurate analysis. Although the cost benefit analysis can be used for almost everything, it is commonly done to determine financial questions...
