QUESTION:
Are valuables (people and the rest of the world): anthropogenic (comes from man) anthropometric (man is the center of all things in the world) ecocentric (world is at the center and man is just one of the things in the world)

ESSAY:

In order to attack this essay, we will first define the three elements

http://www.academia.edu/1476524/Environmental_Ethics_Between_Anthropocentrism_and_Ecocentrism

Introduction
Environmental ethics is defined as the moral relationship between humans and the natural environment
(Buzzle 2011). It is an area of environmental philosophy that faces a lot of conflict due to the various subdivisions in terms of ethical perceptions. For traditional and religious views, some people believe that they were given dominion over nature’s plants and anima ls to serve their needs. The idea of a human- centered nature, or anthropocentrism, explicitly states that humans are the sole bearers of intrinsic value and all other living things are there to sustain humanity’s existence
(MacKinnon 2007, p. 331). The
‘ecological footprint’
(Gaston 2005, p. 239) that resulted from humans

greediness has lead over the decades to massive alteration in nature’s balance
, as well as to many recognizable environmental crises the world is facing today. By contrast, ecocentrism recognizes a nature-centered system of values, and extends the inherent worth to all living things regardless of their usefulness to humans (MacKinnon
2007, p. 336). It is believed that the human race have the responsibility to all biological life on Earth because, aside from being the most consuming specie of all, they are capable of thinking and perceiving
Earth as a whole.
Humans’ ill
-treatment towards the environment is not only drastically altering the ecosystem, but also threatening human s’ survival;

...Sheena Ann C. Ranollo March 4, 2014 CBET-02-806E Prof. Acosta Question #1. Every parts of the organization, why should be an expression of the purpose & policies of firm. Answer: * According to Henry Mintzberg, most organizations can be divided into 5 basic parts. The, Apex, Techno Structure, Support Staff.  These are the people that do the basic work of producing the products or delivering the services. In the simplest organizations, the operators are largely self-sufficient, coordinating through mutual adjustment. In those organizations, there is almost nothing but operating core. As the organization grows the need for direct supervision increases. This results in the development of a strategic apex, which in the simplest case is just a single manager. The apex is charged with ensuring that the organization executes its mission. They are responsible to the owners, government agencies, unions, communities, etc. The techno structure’s mission is to effect coordination through standardization. For example, the industrial engineers standardize work processes; the strategic planners standardize outputs; and the personnel trainers and recruiters standardize skills. The apex, middle line, and operating core are known collectively as line positions. In contrast, the techno structure and support staffs are known collectively as staff positions. Originally, the meaning of these terms was that line positions had formal authority to make decisions...

...Available online at www.sciencedirect.com Procedia - Social and Behavioral Sciences 37 (2012) 31 – 37 International Conference on Emerging Economies - Prospects and Challenges (ICEE-2012) Do brand personalities make a difference to consumers? Sheena , G. Naresh School of Management, Pondicherry University, Puducherry, India Abstract Branding means much more than just giving a brand name and signalling to the outside world that such a product or service has been stamped with the mark and imprint of an organization. Brands are a direct result of the strategy of market segmentation and product differentiation. A brand not only merely acts on the market, but also it organises the market, driven by a vision, a calling and an apparent design of what the category should become. Numerous brands wish only to identify completely with the category of the product, thereby expecting to control it. Today, there is a proliferation of brands in the Indian market. Brands of varying shapes, sizes, texture and many other distinctive features are available based on our choice, tastes and traditions. This varying demand is evident in any brand from the car we drive to the food we take. These brands awake interests in the consumers on the basis of the personalities they hold. Every brand thus, has its own distinct personality that appears to us in a different way in different situations. Hence, it is considered imperative for the study to investigate the significance of brand personality...

Well, I hope everything is going as good as this year festivities are going. I am proud to inform you of our progress report on this year’s annual outreach to our single women and what we can do to make it better. My name is Sheena Alexander and I am 29 years old with a husband and two beautiful children. If you had asked me 7-10 years ago if I had any intentions on returning to school I would have said I don’t know or maybe may be not. It was an idea that I played around with a lot in my head. It was back in February of 2009 when I finally made the decision that it was best for me to return to school and obtain a degree. I have been working since I was 16 years of age and with all the jobs and experience that I have under my belt I have never seemed to be fulfilled with any of my pass jobs. I would often wonder if I went back to school and got my degree that could be me but I just could not fathom the thought of sitting in a classroom or just going back to school. I remember working for a company called Orkin Pest Control and anytime they would post management, leadership, or trainer positions I would get so excited at the chance to apply. After being with the company two years I always figured that it would be easy for me to...
