For thousands of years, women are thought to be the appendage of men. They are treated unfairly by the society. It is luck to be the women in the 21st century since women get more rights than any time before. Nowadays, although it is still unfair for women in certain part, women can get educated, and go to work as men do. Some people would think why should women be educated if they are only going to marry, have babies and stay at home? In my opinion, women should be educated to manage their marriage well, improve the quality of life, and be stronger in case something bad happen. First, women with educated can run their marriage well. They get more respect from their husbands. They have the same knowledge as their husbands do, so they get more rights to speak out their opinion. Moreover, women with educated can take good care of their children. They can tutor children’s study. They know the children’s psychological needs than the mothers with little educated. For example, in my family, my mother got good educated, while my father don’t. My brother and I know mother is the head of our family. She take care us in daily life, and comfort us when we are sad. However, our father don’t know how to deal with us, he just know he should blame us when we did something wrong. Second, women with educated can improve the quality of the family life. Suppose there is a river, if people want to get to the other bank as soon as possible with paddling a boat, he’d better find a partner to work together. To apply the theory, women with educated in the marriage can help a lot. With both of people work, the family can get resource to build their family. There is more possible their children can go to better school; they can live in a good community with big house and beautiful landscape; they can get money to spend their vocation with their children and so on. Even the women with part-time job can contribute a lot to her family.
Third, women with educated can give women a security life. It is all known that the divorce rate is higher and higher from year to year. Women’s life cannot always around their husband and children. There is no guarantee what will happen in the future. As a result, women should have the ability to feed themselves and their children. Women with educated will get more chance to get a good job. With a stable job, they will feel safe and can take care of whatever will happen in their life.
To sum up, women who would go to marries, have babies should get educated as men do. With good educated they can get a better marriage, better quality of life, and a worry-free life. As Sir Francis Bacon said, “knowledge is power.” Women with knowledge will have power to live a life their want not they ought to.
