Sino ba kasi yun? WAG MONG SABIHIN NA BUKOD SA MAY TINATAWAG TAYONG FLYING VOTER, E MAY FLYING CANDIDATE NA RIN? HANEP! KASABAY BA YAN NG ELECTRONIC ELECTION SA PLMAR? LUPET!

Teka apelyido ba niya yung straight?

001 - The eagle, the raven and the pastor Jumping off a cliff, an eagle snatched a lamb. He saw a crow and trying to imitate the eagle, was launched on a ram, but bad art knowledge in its claws tangled in the wool, and flapping their wings full loose failed. Pastor Seeing what was happening, grabbed the raven, and cutting the tips of its wings, took it to their children. They asked their children about what kind of bird was that, and said: - For me, it's just a crow, but it is believed eagle. Put your effort and dedication to what you're really ready, not when it is not your place.

...**1*** The End. Fairytales. Yeah right! As if it's true. My mom told me I used to like reading those kind of books. But right now... wala siya sa interest ko. Ooh.. ok. I remember. Let's start my story with that phrase too. Once upon a time, in a kingdom far far away, there lived a princess who cleaned her closet. Ooopps... corny. Wala kaming kingdom, at hindi rin whatever once upon a time. It's modern day. And fairytales, don't come true in real life. Right now, the closet part was true. I'm cleaning my closet and my drawers. Crap. Crap. How about itong stuff toy na... Fine.. fine!! Mostly, crap for me... not for others. "Hey Dad, I need a ride...

...day of school, sigh. Simula na naman ito ng hectic schedule, little time, less fun, and whatsoever bothersome school works. Pero first day of school sometimes is not that bad, kasi usually pupunta ka lang sa unahan at magpapakilala. Orientations, introductions, chit-chats - yeah, that's pretty much it. Kaya on second thought, I'm going to enjoy this first day lalo na dahil makikita ko na ang aking mga hmm, how should I describe my friends? Loud speaker-like? Loquacious? So ayun, siguro yun ang dahilan kung bakit parang naging "Play Girl" itong si Lindsay, in other way. Hindi naman talaga. Pero all in all she's one of a kind. Si Lindsay din ang laging sumusundo sa amin ni Yna, my other friend. Since wala pa akong sariling ride, nag-insist sya.My other friend, Alyna—Yna as we call her, loud-speaker din ito eh. She's the funny one. I'm one heaven of a lucky girl for having them, right? *Beeeeeeeeeeeep!* May bumusina sa labas,...

The book will be welcomed by serious students and scholars focussed on this important phenomenon.’ Paul W. Beamish, Canada Research Chair in International Business, Ivey Business School, University of Western Ontario ‘This book provides a comprehensive, well-organized and richly illustrated analysis of inter-firm cooperation. While relevant for managers and business students, it extensively draws on the most up-to-date research, making it also a valuable source for academics studying strategic alliances and the wide array of management issues they raise. Child, Faulkner, and Tallman have done a remarkable job of putting together in a highly consistent way all the knowledge available on what has become an essential facet of business development, namely Cooperative Strategy.’ Pierre Dussauge, Professor of Strategic Management, HEC – School of Management, Paris ‘I highly recommend this book for alliance scholars and practitioners. The breadth of coverage of the practical and theoretical literature on cooperative strategy is one of the book’s primary contributions. Mao's Last Dancer

...Mao's Last Dancer Li Cunxin Dedication To the two special women in my life—my mother and my wife Mao’s Last Dancer A Wedding Qingdao, 1946 On the day of her marriage, a young girl sits alone in her village home. It is autumn, a beautiful October morning. The country air is cool but fresh. The young girl hears happy music approaching her house. She is only eighteen, and she is nervous, frightened. She knows that many marriage introducers simply take money and tell lies. Some women from her village marry men who don't have all their functional body parts. Those women have to spend the rest of their lives looking after their husbands. Wife beating is common. Divorce is out of the question. Divorced women are humiliated, despised, suffering worse than an animals fate. She knows some women hang themselves instead and she prays this is not going to be her fate. She prays to a kind and merciful god that her future husband will have two legs, two arms, two eyes and two ears. She prays that his body parts are normal and functional. She worries that he will not be kind-hearted and will not like her. But most of all she &+x worries about her unbound feet. Bound feet are still in fashion. Little girls as young as five or six have to tuck four toes under the big toe and squeeze them hard to stop the growth. It is extremely painful, and the girls have to change the cloth bandages and wash their feet daily to avoid infection. The tighter the feet are bound the smaller the feet will...

Idioms and Expression

...Idioms and Expressions by David Holmes A method for learning and remembering idioms and expressions I wrote this model as a teaching device during the time I was working in Bangkok, Thailand, as a legal editor and language consultant, with one of the Big Four Legal and Tax companies, KPMG (during my afternoon job) after teaching at the university. When I had no legal documents to edit and no individual advising to do (which was quite frequently) I would sit at my desk, (like some old character out of a Charles Dickens’ novel) and prepare language materials to be used for helping professionals who had learned English as a second language—for even up to fifteen years in school—but who were still unable to follow a movie in English, understand the World News on TV, or converse in a colloquial style, because they’d never had a chance to hear and learn common, everyday expressions such as, “It’s a done deal!” or “Drop whatever you’re doing.” Because misunderstandings of such idioms and expressions frequently caused miscommunication between our management teams and foreign clients, I was asked to try to assist. I am happy to be able to share the materials that follow, such as they are, in the hope that they may be of some use and benefit to others. The simple teaching device I used was three-fold: 1. Make a note of an idiom/expression 2. Define and explain it in understandable words (including synonyms.) 3. Give at least three sample sentences to illustrate how the expression is used...
