SNC posted security before he began the brief. SNC moved quickly through the brief and placed emphasis on speed, instilling a sense of urgency in his team. His brief was clear and concise, but SNC was monotone and did not speak loud enough and this weakened his command presence. SNC quickly transitioned into execution. During the movement to the objective, SNC effectively maintained control of his fire team through communicating via pronounced and exaggerated hand and arm signals, which he ensured his team repeated.
