| |out more. Her new friends kept telling her |
| |how much fun the party would be. Although |
| |Sarah has never been to a party before, she |
| |is being conflicted on what she should do. |
| |But it seems that Sarah has made the decision|
| |to go with her peers’ belief that the party |
| |will be fun and breaking her curfew for the |
| |first time ever. In Sarah’s case in which she|
| |conforms into her peers’ beliefs is the fact |
| |that she has never been to a party and that |
| |it would be fun. Knowing that her parents |
| |have strict rules for her to follow, she was |
| |conflicted. She also wants to believe that |
| |the party she is going to is going to be fun |
| |just like her friends stated. The situation |
| |that Sarah was in was choosing to break her |
| |curfew for the first time and go party with |
| |her new friends she made at school. Or go |
| |home and not break the curfew that her |
| |parents have set for her and lose some of her|
| |parents trust. One of the possible reasons |
| |Sarah broke her curfew to go party with her |
| |new friends was to be accepted by them. |

...Although Sarah was usually a rule follower, the peer pressure and the excitement of starting a new school and making new friends was a huge factor in her decision to break the rules she’d always adhered to. The fact that she was so excited to make new friends and wanted them to see her as someone they had things in common with was a major factor in her decision to break the rules she’d always followed. She wanted to fit in with the crowd, and following the rules of her curfew would’ve prevented that from happening.
