Prompt 2 During the book, Sonny had to focus on learning and being able to absorb knowledge. In the book Rocket Boys Sonny said, “I had discovered that learning something, no matter how complex, wasn’t hard when I had a reason to want to know it.” (Hickam). This quote really shows that Sonny was motivated to learn about his rockets and was not going to let anything get in his way. Sonny found that with hard work and dedication came success. He was always motivated to learn whatever it took to be able to build his rockets. For example he learned calculus in order to find the perfect angles for the rocket nozzles.
