*DEMONS
When the days are cold
And the cards all fold
And the saints we see
Are all made of gold
When your dreams all fail
And the ones we hail
Are the worst of all
And the blood's run stale
I wanna hide the truth
I wanna shelter you
But with the beast inside
There's nowhere we can hide
No matter what we breed
We still are made of greed
This is my kingdom come
This is my kingdom come
When you feel my heat
Look into my eyes
It's where my demons hide
It's where my demons hide
Don't get too close
It's dark inside
It's where my demons hide
It's where my demons hide
At the curtains call
It's the last of all
When the lights fade out
All the sinners crawl
So they dug your grave
And the masquerade
Will come calling out
At the mess you've made
Don't wanna let you down
But I am, hell bound
Though this is all for you
Don't wanna hide the truth
No matter what we breed
We still are made of greed
This is my kingdom come
This is my kingdom come
When you feel my heat
Look into my eyes
It's where my demons hide
It's where my demons hide
Don't get too close
It's dark inside
It's where my demons hide
It's where my demons hide
They say it's what you make
I say it's up to fate
It's woven in my soul
I need to let you go
Your eyes, they shine so bright
I wanna save that light
I can't escape this now
Unless you show me how
When you feel my heat
Look into my eyes
It's where my demons hide
It's where my demons hide
Don't get too close
It's light inside
It's where my demons hide
It's where my demons hide

*LALALA
[x2:]
La la, la la la la la na na na na na,2x
Hush, don't speak
When you spit your venom, keep it shut I hate it
When you hiss and preach
About your new messiah 'cause your theories catch fire
I can't find your silver lining
I don't mean to judge
But when you read your speech, it's tiring
Enough is enough

Splash Corporation Case Study

...Rajinda Jayasinghe A0090911 SPLASH CORPORATION: COMPETING WITH THE BIG BRANDS “We are at war with the multinational corporations, fighting for the hearts and minds of the Filipino consumers” With these simple words, Roland Hortaleza, Chairman and CEO of Splash Holdings, provides some key insights into how he views his company’s place in the highly competitive cosmetics and toiletries market in the Philippines. An underdog success story in the truest sense of the word, the rise of the Hortaleza family from their humble beginnings as civil servants, to the pioneers of the “next Unilever”, the story of Splash Corporation is an informative model for those who wish to study the marketing strategies that drive successful startups in competitive markets. Several years removed from its creation, Splash finds itself facing challenges that are quite different from those that it faced at the time of its inception. In many ways, the underdog mentality that so successfully fuelled Hortaleza’s initial strategies is now obsolete. Splash finds itself in something of an inconvenient middle-ground, competing for market share against emerging low-cost alternatives and fighting the big-budget multinationals that continue to dwarf the scope of Splash’s product lines and thee depth of its marketing budgets. The following case analysis looks at Splash’s current position in the Philippines cosmetics and toiletries industry, and attempts to draw conclusions on future opportunities and points...

Chemical Toxicity Paper

...The chemical I chose to write my paper about is Polychlorinated biphenyl or PCB. Polychlorinated biphenyls were manufactured from 1929 until it was banned in 1979. PCB’s were used in hundreds of things because of their non-flammability, chemical stability, high boiling point, and electrical insulating characteristics. PCB’s range in form from light oil to a heavy wax. The largest producer of PCB was the Monsanto Corporation who marketed it under the trade name, Aroclor. For years and years PCB was thought as a chemical who had unlimited advantages to human life and no negative consequences. It was used any way possible and was discharged just the same way. Many people simply discarded it into rivers, waterways, and landfills. It wasn’t until 1960s when the world began to question the health consequences of using PCB. In the late 1960s there was a highly publicized poisoning case in Japan and Taiwan both of the cases were involving rice oils contaminated with PCBs. As public awareness rose and the chemical began to come under fire from the public Monsanto Corporation voluntarily discontinued most of the production and use of Polychlorinated biphenyl. Finally in the middle to late 1970s...

The Genetically Modified Boogeyman

...Trisha Myers Professor --------- English 1302 December 2, 2014 The Genetically Modified Boogeyman There is an acronym tossed around today that is so infamous and so widespread, it is able to stir up deep-seeded feelings of distrust in many people in several parts of the world: the GMO, or, the genetically modified organism. There is hardly a product on American grocery shelves today that does not contain some form of a genetically modified (or GM) crop, and many people find this fact disturbing. The average consumer does not fully comprehend the GMO, but fears and rejects it based on a superficial knowledge of the term. The possible dangers – or the possible lack there-of – of GMOs are largely debated among consumers, organizations, corporations, and even politicians. And yet, the overlooked consensus of the scientific community is that, so far, GM ingredients in food products cause no more harm to the consumer than non-GMO products. However, there is no proof that long-term risks do not exist, and many point to the several countries that have banned or severely restricted the production and trade of GMOs. But mankind has been altering the genes of food through domestication for thousands of years using selective breeding; many say that biotechnology is simply the newest innovation in agriculture. There are, without a doubt, problems surrounding GMO production and regulation that need resolving, but the process itself is not inherently bad. As long as the practice is well-regulated...

...1(d).Value Chain Analysis: A Way to profit improvement & cost Reduction Learning Objective 1. how to identify the value added activity 2. how to rectify the non –value added activity 3. application in profit planning & cost reduction INTRODUCTION Competitive advantage for a company means not just matching or surpassing their competitors, discovering what the customers want and then profitably satisfying, and even exceeding their expectations. As barriers to inter-regional and international trade are diminishing and as access to goods and services are growing, customers can locate after identification and «the best of what they want, at an acceptable price, wherever it is in the world. Under growing competition and, hence, rising customer expectations, a company's penalty for complacency becomes even greater. A strategic tool to measure the importance of the customer's perceived value is value chain analysis. By enabling companies to determine the strategic advantages and disadvantages of activities and value-creating processes in the market place, value chain analysis becomes essential for assessing competitive advantage. Value analysis or value engineering is one of the most widely used cost reduction techniques. It can be defined as a technique that yields value improvement. It investigates into the economic attributes of value. It attempts to reduce cost through ...

Strategic Marketing & Planning, 2009 Fiji Water

...Strategic Marketing & Planning, 2009 Fiji Water Executive Summary: There are multiple recent strategic issues that the bottled water company Fiji Water is facing. The economic recession has led to a change in consumer purchasing trends, and the bottled water category is not as stable financially as it used to be. Environmental issues, such as waste and pollution, are also affected Fiji Water and its competitors. Bottled Water companies are attempting to shift packaging and shipping to more ecologically friendly materials and modes, as consumers favor environmentally sustainable products. Additionally, as consumers focus on obtaining healthier lifestyles and diets, they have begun to question the safety and purity of the water that bottled water companies are producing. Fiji Water has been affected greatly by all of these issues, as well as negative press about the socio-economic conditions of their souring location, and in 2008 was forced to layoff 40% of their staffing resources. With limited resources, an action plan going forward must be cost efficient and extremely effective. By analyzing and critiquing four potential strategic options, a rational next step for Fiji Water can be discovered. By supporting this plan with marketing tactics and communication, it can attempt to stimulate growth for the company. Current Overview: History: Fiji Water is bottled water artesian water that was founded in 1993 in Colorado and first produced and sold to the world...

Dove Case Study

...Beauty Case Study By: Melinda Brodbeck and Erin Evans Presented March 5, 2007 SITUATION: The Dove Campaign for Real Beauty (CFRB) began in England in 2004 when Dove’s sales declined as a result of being lost in a crowded market. Unilever, Dove’s parent company, went to Edelman, its PR agency, for a solution. Together, they conceived a campaign that focused not on the product, but on a way to make women feel beautiful regardless of their age and size. The following summer, CFRB was brought to the United States and Canada. CRFB aimed not only to increase sales of Dove beauty products, but also targeted women of all ages and shapes. According to the CFRB website, “The Dove Campaign for Real Beauty is a global effort that is intended to serve as a starting point for societal change and act as a catalyst for widening the definition and discussion of beauty. The campaign supports the Dove mission: to make women feel more beautiful every day by challenging today’s stereotypical view of beauty and inspiring women to take great care of themselves.” In addition to changing women’s view of their bodies, Dove also aimed to change the beauty market. In an industry where the standard of beauty is often a size two blonde supermodel, Dove distinguished itself by using models that ranged from size six to fourteen. CRFB abandoned the conventional cynical method of portraying “perfect” women as beauty role models. RESEARCH: Dove commissioned The Real Truth About Beauty study as a...

...Strategic Analysis of Nestlé and its Competitor Kraft Foods Course: International Business Strategy (IB BA) Professor Lewis University of Applied Sciences Dresden Project Members: Katerina Schneiderova Sandra Merkel Nicole Klötzer Carolin Wiese Samuel Weimer Nicole Schröder Date: 11th June 2010 Executive Summary In the following, two companies and their strategic positions within the coffee consumer goods industry will be described. The focus lies on Nestlé and its competitor Kraft Foods. As coffee is one of the most popular products worldwide, this is a very demanding business. It is necessary to provide high quality products, especially when working in the more affluent segments like Nestlé and Kraft Food do. Several political, economic, social, technical, environmental and legal aspects have an impact on the industry branch they are operating in. In addition, there is not only a differentiation in Robusta and Arabica coffee, but also in filter coffee, portioned and non-portioned soluble coffee. To satisfy the diverging needs of all customers, different strategies are applied to gain more market share. In this report it is examined how those companies operate in the specific business context, what they have in common and where they differ. Furthermore, an analysis of the industry attractiveness, of the market segmentation and value chain and an overview of resources and capabilities are part of this paper. After intense research...
