...Me and Fiona decided to go to the movies since we were both free that night. As we walk in, it was so unusual. It had nobody at the front counter and it seemed as if me and Fiona were alone. As i’m walking in everyone jumps out and yells “SURPRISE!” My parents, the track team, and Kyro were all there. My parents were crying as Kyro was walking up to me with a rectangular box. I open the box and it was the running leg. My first impression was this was the wrong leg and I wanted flames on it so that when i’m running it will look cool. It was blue with a strange yellow pattern that had everyone's signature on it. The next day I was just getting used to it. I go to the track that day to get practice in with my track team. Kyro has me take small steps at a time and a slow jog and as i’m jogging I keep gaining speed and I get so happy to know that i’m running. Most distance races usually fundraise to help certain causes, such as breast cancer, and help raise awareness about those causes, too. I love getting involved in events or groups that help benefit not only myself but others as well, which is a win-win situation.
