Based on the typical American diet, the American Journal of Preventive Medicine infers that by 2030, 42 percent of Americans will be obese and 11 percent will be critically obese or 100 pounds above the healthful weight (Marlow).
With increasing numbers on obesity and diet related health problems, many citizens have called for the regulation of the American diet (Marlow).
Reducing Americans’ excessive sodium consumption requires establishing new federal standards for the amount of salt that food manufacturers, restaurants, and food service companies put in their products (National Academy of Sciences).

The alternative for sugar had evolved into so much more sugar today, making processed foods very unhealthy; salt has also increased in processed foods over the years (“A SAD History of the Standard American Diet and Where We Went Wrong”)
Americans are so used to chemicals in foods, that some do not know what real, non-artificial food is.
With the antibiotics and non-naturally occurring hormones, our bodies get confused on how to take it in (“A SAD History of the Standard American Diet and Where We Went Wrong”).
Processed foods still sold and eaten today even though some people may know it does not benefit your health
Chemicals are not meant to be eaten; that is why cleaning products have warning labels saying it is harmful if swallowed.
Americans would probably be 100 times more healthier if these events had not taken place.
The government has been trying to change what Americans eat using taxes and calorie counts.
Many people believe that the government should change people’s eating

The participants will be broken into two groups of 10 participants. Group 1 consists of 10 participants who will participate in hypnotherapy in combination with a diet and exercise program established by a dietary team. Over the past 20 years, CLA supplementation has produced positive effects in animal studies, such as significant body fat reduction, anticarcinogenisis, antiatherogenesis, immune modulation and improved bone health. Conversely, human studies have not produced all of the aforementioned results. Nonetheless, there have been many human studies supporting a minimal but significant body fat reduction. These results have been mainly attained with a 50:50 mixture of cis-9, trans-11 and trans-10, cis-12 of purified CLA isomers at various doses. There is evidence indicating that a dose of 3.0g CLA/day may lead to fat loss, whereas the average Canadian consumes between 0.1-1.5 g CLA/day.
