Watts and Dale Pietrzak are comparing the overlooked similarities between Alfred Adler’s theories to the more current theories of the solution-focused brief therapy (SFTB) who give no credit to Adler. Though there are many similarities, the article focused on the concept of using encouragement by a therapist to their client to promote personal growth and development rather than on the limitations of a person.
