In the story “Brownies” Arnetta is portrayed as the strongest girl in the troop, but after reading into the story and looking at all of the girls in the troop Daphne actually is the strongest. Daphne is the strongest because she does not follow the rest of the troop, she does not follow Arnetta. Daphne does what is right without being told and that is strong. Daphne is respected by all of the girls and does not agree with being disrespectful or mean to troop 909. Daphne is kind; she does not follow the other girls because she believes that the way they treat other people and troop 909 is wrong. Daphne is the strongest girl in the reading because of her kindness.
It states in the text on page 289 that she stays behind to clean the bathroom
