Emerging Trends for Stress Management Globally: -

The significance of stress management is highlighted nowadays by the employers to cope with and reduce stress through practical guidelines. Positive relationship has been shown by studies between incentives and performance as both are related with satisfaction of employees. However, every time the case is not same non-monetary measures like career advancement, prestige, and public recognition can also increase productivity.
Today stress management is central in everyone's lives. It's essential for long happy lives with fewer apprehensions about the future. There are many ways to deal with stress ranging from the dealing with the causes of stress to simply burning off its effects.

These exercises improve heart stamina, stabilize the heart rate, provide peaceful digressions from work, and offer a means to vent out the stress.
 Relaxation techniques
Deep relaxation for 15 or 20 minutes a day, utilizing meditation, hypnosis, and biofeedback are methods which help to reach a state of deep composure, where one feels detached from the physical surrounding, and detached from bodily sensations. Relaxation causes substantial changes in heart rate, blood pressure

 Social Support Network
This method entails everyone to create stronger social presence. Be it family, friends or team mates from work. If a person is social, they will always find someone to listen to their problems, which is a very important in suppressing the hazards caused by stress.

Strategies that management teams might want to consider are as follows
 Selection and Placement
Some jobs are very stressful. Moreover, different individuals react differently to stressful situations. Selection and placement decisions should take these facts into consideration. Organizations should not only prefer experienced people, but also look for such individuals who may adapt better to high stress jobs and perform more …show more content…

Effective communication can be very helpful in shaping employee perceptions. Increasing organizational communication with employees decreases improbability by lessening role ambiguity and conflict.
 Sabbaticals: -
Very crucial part of any organizations culture is facility for sabbaticals. Ranging in length from a few weeks to several months these provide the employees with a getaway. Studies have shown that sabbaticals revive and rejuvenate workers who might be headed for burnout.
 Wellness Programs: -
These programs have a holistic approach and focus on the overall well being of employee, physical as well as mental. This method includes workshops to help people quit smoking, control alcohol use, lose weight, eat better, and develop a regular exercise program.

Abstract Stress management (SM) is a widely used term with a seemingly obvious meaning. The research literature contains many studies evaluating its effectiveness, but it is not clear how many different forms of SM exist and how efficacious they are for which target problem. One hundred and fifty-three studies on SM were analyzed to determine consensus in definitions and therapy protocols. Results showed that a typical delivery format exists (mostly group form, 8–10 sessions in length and multitechnique), but the number of techniques used was very large, techniques were inconsistently labeled are often poorly described. It is concluded that in outcome research, the term "stress management" is operationally defined with such variability that comparisons of SM outcome studies are not meaningful at this time.
