Mrs. Tiffany Hamm who is an Allstate insurance employee at the branch on Vaughn Rd in Montgomery, AL. She conducted the Cross-Cultural interview with engagement from two other employees at the franchise. The agreement for the dialogue was a quote for a vehicle in exchange for her honest response to the assignment seven questions concerning her day-to-day business operations. She is a Caucasian who works for a respected business in the community. The demeanor and responses during the consultation relates to Chapter 11 Communication, specifically, barriers, non-verbal’s, lying, and utilizing the five personality steps to have a successful interview. Unfortunately, Ms. Hamm was strikingly uncomfortable with the questions because she frequently solicited co-workers opinions before, during, and after the meeting.

Hamm shows respect with personal experience and eye contact while interacting with consumers. Nevertheless, one aspect she thought would be rude behavior was not acknowledging customers when they entered the establishment. The manager also interjected with additional rude manners by saying, taking phone calls on the business line and talking on a cell phone is a form of rude behavior while a customer is present. One of the unethical behavior would be lying to customers about insurance rates and discounts. Some of the differences in the way different cultures do business were interesting with Asians, Hispanics, Chinese, and others from the Middle Eastern countries. Hispanics usually pay cash only, the Middle Eastern clients prefer one account for different families, the Chinese and Asians customers make payments online and limit phone conversations. These individuals rarely come to the location for face-to-face
