TBP1 Task 2 Topic: Evaluate the benefits of pursuing a specific hobby.

In today’s society and with life in general, we are consistently under an enormous amount of stress. We have more than enough responsibilities and in some cases we’re overwhelmed with the rigors of our careers. Something that can take us away from the monotony and provide us with new or uniquely different challenges. Hobbies are avenues that we can explore to fill in the voids created by our day to day routines. I sometimes like to pause, just for a moment, and turn my attention to the fact that life is short! When presenting my research we will dive into certain aspects of compensation not offered, and how the NCAA exploits young men and women through their no pay rules. Maybe outright paying kids is not the answer, but with all the outcry and settlements out of court, it appears that something more must be offered. Amateurism. (2014). NCAA.org. Retrieved from http://www.ncaa.org/amateurism says to qualify as amateur, “an athlete is not permitted to: sign contracts with any professional team, receive salary for participating in athletics, collect prize above actual and necessary expenses, play with professionals, tryout/practice/compete with a professional team, accept benefits from an agent or perspective agent, agree to be represented by an agent, and delay initial full-time collegiate enrollment to participate in organized sports competition.” So, before young athletes can start their...

An acceptable level of comfort in for life requires a small number of necessities: housing, sanitary facilities, education, employment, and food and water. Without these, life becomes miserable in a very short amount of time. For a vast amount of people around the world, home ownership is a dream, an ambition for life, that thing we’ve wanted since being a child. The security of having something that you can call your own and do what you want with, when you want with it appeals to most people. For many this dream will never become a reality, and for many others even once having it doesn’t mean they can keep it. The problem is todays housing is just not affordable.
