It is very important to have a company’s marketing strategy accepted because it ensures that everyone is on the same page. It also gives employees a chance to provide feedback on the strategy. All of the employees should be happy about the strategy. If your employees lack interest in the marketing strategy sales will typically decline due to lack of internal understanding and interest. The CEO could make this happen by getting his employees more involved. By allowing your employees to give feedback about a strategy shows they are engaged and interested in the company’s marketing strategy.
Samsung changed its market position in the US and Europe from a price-oriented copy cat manufacturer to a premium priced product leaders sold in most upscale retail outlets.They also turned their memory and component design and manufacturing into an asset by providing direct access to the latest technology. One thing that I would do to give my suppliers an incentive to make the product on time is provide a free sample of the products and provide education on the particular products they are manufacturing.
I would keep it pretty close to what it is now. however instead of rewarding professional athletes I would go to high school and colleges and promote the products to younger generations.
His new strategy did not gain traction in 1993 because he did it all way to fast. Things must change gradually within companies in order for them to work. His employees were properly educated on the new changes as well. Next time he needs to make smaller changes over a period of time and make sure his employees agree with the changes too.
He should start to communicate with his employees better and give them the opportunity to share their ideas. Yes it was because the majority of the customer did not. I would use the top down approach when creating a global strategy.
