In the article, Tell Me Something, Michelle Cacho-Negrete portrays the struggles of her life and the loss of her brother fighting war in Vietnam. Cacho-Negrete had a hard time dealing with the loss of her brother even though they lived a somewhat distant life from each other as they grew up. She blamed herself for not diligently protesting against the war while caught up in the hardships and struggles of her life. Thirty five years later, her friend, Jamie, was also killed while fighting war in Iraq. Cacho-Negrete felt hopeless.
