The Karankawa Indians were known for their height. They could reach at a height at over seven feet. Karankawas were hunter-gatherers. They hunted animals and gathered plants for food. They hunted fish, sea turtles, and shellfish. Karankawas were nomads, which means they moved around from place to place. Karankawas lived in a range of many ecosystems around the gulf coast. The Karankawas moved to many different places throughout the year.
