One does not have to be an evangelical Christian to recognize that marriage is between a man and a woman. Biblical Arguments Against Gay Marriage While the Bible does address homosexuality, it does not explicitly mention gay marriage. It is clear, however, that the Bible condemns homosexuality as an immoral and unnatural sin. Leviticus 18:22 states “You shall not lie with a male as with a woman; it is an abomination.” This verse identifies homosexual sex as an abomination. Since both homosexual desires and actions are condemned in the Bible, it is clear that homosexuals “marrying” is not God’s will, and would be, in fact, sinful. Whenever the Bible mentions marriage, it is between a male and a female. Richards’s parents were involved in his upbringing but in a way that caused him to lose a part of humanism which will cause harm to so many people. Because of the abuse his father bestowed upon him, and to his siblings this had an unfavorable outcome on Richard. Another thing that I believed that caused Richard to not have any emotions for life was he watch his father beat his older brother to death and made his mother lie to the police on what happened to his brother.
