Throughout the Callaghan’s kingdom, the lands are waking to a new and brighter day. The fear that grows in the night has suddenly washed away with the rising sun. The streets are crowded with merchants setting up their stands with merchandise, while others are making their way to the castle to start their morning shifts.
King David of the Callaghan’s was waiting patiently at his desk, for the return of his brother and the first commander. At the same time, patrols led by Second Commander Herbert are patrolling the castle’s walls.

His thin white shirt and black pants were torn from the waist down. His face was beet red, as though his skin has been baking in the hot sun for hours. His mouth was dry, causing his tongue to stick to the roof of it. He makes panting and wheezing sounds when he tries to breathe. His body shakes uncontrollably with every stepped he makes. He wants to stop and rest, but neither the Earl nor the first commander would permit it.
The people observe light bantering between the Earl and the first commander. Michal’s horse soon comes to a halt in the middle of the marketplace. The rest of the men, including the first commander, do the same.

Tocharian slows down when he can feel the weight of the Shadow, dragging behind his horse. He looks back, seeing him, limping as he tries to keep up with the horse’s pace. He then looks ahead, spotting the king standing outside the castle’s double doors on the first step. He slows down to a crawl, pulling tightly on his horse’s rein, halting in front of the castle’s steps.
Michal and the Kingsman appear shortly after, advancing slowly forward with their horses. They soon stop and dismount, heading to the steps of the castle, where four Kingsman are escorting the Shadow to the king.
The king simultaneously faces the Shadow and says, “You’ll finally pay for the torment you brought me, I’ll see to it.” He nods to the men, who then ushers the Shadow inside. Michal steps to the king, who was now standing alone. His posture was stiff and demeanor was serious. “Did you run into any trouble on their lands?” the king asks
