The digestive process begins with the sandwich in your mouth. The sandwich is broken down by mastication, food being crushed by the teeth. Enzymes and acids are produced in the mouth which helps to break down the food even faster. The sandwich is gulp down, passed through the pharynx, then the esophagus. The food is now being digested with the gastric juice in the stomach which is made up of Hydrochloric acid, pepsin, mucus and water. The cellular exchange of nutrients from the sandwich is now taking place in the small intestine. The villi which is located in the small intestine also absorbs some of the nutrients. What is not needed is disposed into the large intestine, which removes most of the water and bile. A stress factor may cause IBS, Irritable bowel syndrome which causes cramping, bloating, gas, constipation in the abdominal area. It is a condition that does not go away over night. Heartburn is another stress factor, it is a burning sensations in the chest caused from the acid disgorge into the esophagus. A regular exercise increases your cardiac output. It aids in a healthier heart and other body organs. Ones metabolism improves with exercise. In order to be healthy the digestive tract needs a good blood circulation which enhances peristalsis, help leading to a healthy digestive tract. Metabolism is the rate of how fast your body breaks down nutrients from the functioning of your body. As the life span increases your body digestive tract paces decreases. The metabolism process slows down therefore breaking down and digesting the food and nutrients slower. This can lead to weight
