...Question 3 -Should Poor Son apply “fresh-start” reporting under ASC 852? In most cases, the company will qualify for fresh-start reporting whereby balance sheet items are adjusted to fair values to denote a "fresh-start" upon emergence from bankruptcy. If the criteria to apply fresh-start reporting are met, the company should apply fresh-start reporting once the Court has confirmed its plan and it has emerged from Chapter 11. According to ASC 852-10-45-19, an entity must apply fresh-start reporting upon emergence from bankruptcy if it meets two criteria: 1. The reorganization value of the emerging entity immediately before the date of confirmation is less than the total of all postpetition liabilities and allowed claims, which is sometimes referred to as being "balance sheet insolvent," and 2. The holders of existing voting shares immediately before confirmation receive less than 50 percent of the voting shares of the emerging entity. In this case, Poor Son incurred significant levels of bank debt and could not support that level of debt, therefore it filed bankruptcy. The reorganization value of Poor Son immediately before the date of confirmation is less than the total of all postpetition liabilities. Also, the current holder Parent has no existing voting shares immediately before confirmation received. So the two criteria are met, and Poor Son should apply “fresh-start” reporting under ASC 852. ...Executive Summary This business plan was created to secure investors. La Salsa Fresh Mexican Grill is one of the hottest franchises to team up with and offers enormous potential in Oregon. Currently, La Salsa is in all of the neighboring states of Oregon and is still expanding. The Santa Barbara Restaurant Group (SBRG) franchises the La Salsa chain. There are two main reasons that La Salsa will succeed in Lebanon: first is the lack of direct competition (nothing like it in town), the second is the high demand for a product like this in Lebanon. Lebanon is in preparation for a large population growth period, the current population Lebanon is over 4,500,000 according to the final UNDP study and with around 2,000,000 other people such as refugees and some tourists. The creation of a Limited Liability Corporation (LLC) will shield owners and investors from personal liability. Over the next three years we as partners plan to expand La Salsa in Lebanon, developing between 3 to 10 restaurants under the LLC. This business plan only includes the first store plans which will help create more concrete goals. Per store revenues for La Salsa range between $400,000 to $1,000,000 depending heavily on location. Estimated start-up costs from SBRG are between $300,000 and $400,000, and require an initial investment of around $600,000. Half of this money will be financed by a small business loan, and the other half will come from private investors. Net profits will be high, yielding an estimated...

...mention aspects such as logistics, shipping, online distribution, customer loyalty and many other channels are operated. I will start off with how Tesco operate in direct channels in how the producer supplies or serves directly to a consumer, without any wholesalers. So ,Tesco as its direct, the channel process will be shorted meaning some food products will have to be distributed from the UK however specific types of food will be distributed from abroad, meaning the cost will be less and the company will have more fresh products . I think by Tesco using this process, the company will save money because instead of distributing from producers and working the process through wholesalers Tesco can avoid spending money on the wholesalers. However Tesco will not get the food products packaged like it would be if Tesco went to the wholesalers so Tesco must make sure that the producers are reliable and have good quality so the money is not wasted on liabilities like bad producers. In order to make profit Tesco use fresh foods like fruits, vegetables and meat, Tesco put the price up when the foods are fresh, knowing that customers always want fresh food so Tesco took advantage and made the foods expensive that way Tesco make more money than usual. In my opinion I think this strategy from Tesco is very smart and useful for the company because the company is getting foods from farmers at a reasonable price and then selling the foods for more benefits the business. Tesco makes good profit...

While visiting Five Guy’s Burgers and fries for the first time back in 2003, during a brief conversation with the friendly cashier, I was amazed to find out that they use coolers instead of freezers. The truth is, I had never heard of that being done before in a restaurant. Another thought that I have that makes Five Guys’ different from other food chains is the way they execute the processing of the orders.   As a customer, I can watch my burger being made to ensure it is as I requested.   “When the customers start lining up, they distribute free, unshelled peanuts to please waiting customers. “These peanuts have now become a trademark” (Yu, 2009, p. 2).   Jerry Murrell stated “Treat that person right, he’ll walk out the door and sell...
