The employee has been the subject of unsolicited attention and requests a confidential meeting. The author must make a decision on how to handle both the confidentiality of the meeting and how to proceed with the harassment claim. According to the companies Employee Handbook, there are several policy violations in this simulation, including several breaches of the harassment policy ("Archived E-Mails & Comments," n.d.). These are clear breaches of company policy, however; in a management roll, the author must walk a narrow line to address the harassment issue at hand as well as follows the company’s policies in regard to preventing and addressing harassment issues and treating employees fairly.
