The qualitative and quantitative data analysis based on the empirical secondary and primary data were employed. The data collected on both were presented in tabular form and analyzed using simple percentages. American Schools are not safe. “An estimated 1.5 million U.S. students between the age of 12 to 18 are victims of nonfatal crimes at school” (Hong, and Eamon 428). There is as much violence inside the school building as it is outside. Not only nonfatal crimes, also the fatal crimes such as sexual harassment, bullying and minor in possession of drugs and guns are on dramatic rise. Priscilla Thompson in ‘The New York Amsterdam News’ reported that “according to educational department recorded 800 sexual offences, 53400 fights, 28000 cases of bullying and more than 8000 weapon possession cases” (31).
