Being able to walk comes natural for most people. Being born with a birth defect and not being able to walk, and having to learn how to walk. Many solides lose their limbs coming back from serving out country, or people that were in a bad accident many say they would not be able to walk again. They all have to go through physical therapy to be able to learn how to walk again. Doodle was born with a birth defect making him not being able to walk. His brother pushed him how to walk, it was kind of like his physical therapy. They had a goal for Doodle to walk really good and being able to start school. But their goal pushed Doodle to far and Doodle passed away. Brother was the main cause of Doodle's death because Brother was pushing Doodle really hard to get to walk more and to swimming by the end of summer. …show more content…
In the story “ The Scarlet Ibis” there are two brothers, the youngest one is named Doodle he was born with a birth defect that made him not being able to walk. His brother wanted him to walk for his brothers own purpose. His brother kept pushing Doodle to learn how to stand and walk on his own. ¨I can't walk Brother,” he said. ¨Who says so?” I demanded. ¨Mama, the doctor-everybody” ¨Oh you can walk,¨ I said, and I took him by the arms and stood him up. He collaspesd onto the grass like a half-empty flour sack. It was as if he had no bones in his little legs” (Hurst 3). Brother pushing Doodle how to walk made Doodle stronger but made many conflicts. Brother was hurting Doodle sometimes. He kept pushing Doodle to do his best until he learned how to walk. People told Doodle he would not be able to walk ever in his life.
