The execution itself, was very gloomy. She came to the block in a red dress, possibly to stop the blood showing. She advanced with her assistants and before she put her head down, she said prayers in Latin. She was very confident about going to heaven and was happy, and sad to leave earth. The executioner had to chop 3 times to cut it off properly, maybe a message from God, saying she was good. The head was held up and – her head fell to the ground revealing grey hair and an red wig. Under her dress, a Skye Terrier was barking softly, almost sadly and wouldn't leave her body.

A truly sad event for all Catholics, and I certainly felt heartbroken and I wasn't a follower of hers.
So what will Liz do now?
Elizabeth has still to fix up the economy around poorer parts of England. There are rumors going around that she is planning a law to stop poor people dying helplessly. However it will punish people who fake illness or are too lazy to work. This means that England will have a safe amount of money to go around. Genius! Mary Queen of Grey
Mary, Queen of Scots was executed quite slowly on the 8th of February 1587, and died at the age of 45. It took the Executioner 3 tries to get the head severed off. Most people say that it was 'quite gruesome'.

Mary had been under house arrest for 19 years in several different castles, but she was secretly plotting against Elizabeth. Luckily, The Queen's head spy Francis Walsingham found several letters to 'The Babbington' in code which was a plot to rescue Mary. This was called 'The Ridolfi Plot'.

Then Elizabeth had a death warrant signed but in hesitation as she was her cousin, another monarch and it would set a president.
This would mean that any other monarch could execute another monarch knowing that Elizabeth did; almost encouraging them.

Now, today (9th February 1587) is a day for remembering why she was in England. She was put in prison by her own country, Scotland, for marrying a suspected murderer of her previous husband, and he was hated by many Catholic and Protestant Scots. So they overthrew her and locked her up. But Mary escaped, and fled to her Protestant sister, Good Queen Bess looking for help. Elizabeth thought she would claim to the throne, and put her under house arrest.
