The topic of my thesis: "Study of theories of motivation and the factors motivating effect on staff of the organization." Highly motivated staff - is essential for a successful organization. No company can succeed without the attitude of workers to work with high-impact, without a high level of commitment of staff members with no interest in the final result, and without their commitment to contribute to the achievement of goals. The aim of this work is to study and evaluate the impact of motivational factors at work within the organization and evaluation of the effectiveness of incentives. The implementation of this goal required the solution of the following research objectives: * Define the concept of motivation. * What is motivation?
In 1943, in the journal Psychological Review published a paper of Abraham Maslow, which was called "The Theory of human motivation."In this article, Abraham Maslow attempted to formulate human motivation based on their needs. He organized human needs on five general levels. In contrast to the well-known in his time specialists in the field of psychology as Freud and Skinner, the conclusions of which were largely theoretical or based on animal behavior, Maslow's theory of motivation was based on clinical trials with humans. * Study the effect of the motivating factors of the staff of the organization. * What methods of improving staff motivation are the most effective?
Any organization, regardless of size and status wants to contribute to the development of motivation in its employees. But before you do the question arises: which approach/method is most effective? In order to motivate you need to understand how you'll implement it; you need to understand what to do and in what direction. Employee survey is very useful in establishing the motivational factors of your workers. In addition to the information that users reveal the process of engaging staff is extremely beneficial and promotes motivation on a subconscious level ("Hawthorne effect"). “The "Hawthorne effect" is commonly referred to as an increase in productivity - or even some other outcome under study - caused by participation in the study as such.” “The term seems to be used as a social equivalent to "placebo effect”. * Assess the level of motivation of the employees of the organization subject of study - job satisfaction within the organization. * Identify possible ways to improve the motivation of workers. * Carrots and sticks/ Theory X and Theory Y by Douglas McGregor: Does it justify itself and the conditions under which effective?
Until now, the methods are applied, and in the modern office. Every year systems of personnel motivation are developing. Personnel officers coming up with more and more "sticks" and "carrots”. How could retain, attract, improve efficiency, how to encourage, how to punish the personnel in the company? Steal ideas from each other, use the international experience, and look for help from the staff themselves. Once all the systems in the different companies operate completely differently. The most important and most difficult - to fully understand what the team wants? How is it possible to motivate? Every employee should be considered as individual. That for some - flavored cake, others may seem a whip. We can observe carrots and sticks represented in Theory XY Douglas McGregor. He saw the whole process of management consisting of individuals which can be divided into 2 categories. “These sets of assumptions, called X and Y, have come to be applied to management styles; e.g., and individual is a theory X manager or a theory Y manager.” “The focus of a theory Y manager is on the person as a growing, developing, learning being, while a theory X manager views the person as static, fully developed, and capable of little change. A theory X manager sets the parameters of his or her employees’ achievements by determining their potential in light of negative assumptions. A theory Y manager allows his or her people to test the limits of their capabilities and uses errors for learning better ways of operating rather than as clubs for forcing submission to the system. He or she structures work so that an employee can have a sense of accomplishment and personal growth. The motivation comes from the work itself and provides a much more powerful incentive than the “externals” of theory X.”

...Factors affecting 4th year students of Ann Marris Montessori School in choosing preferred college program. Background of the study: To have a beautiful future means to sacrifice and invest their own money and time to send the children in their family to school. According to Theodore Roosevelt, “Education is the key to success.” In the present times, education in the Philippines is very important. Education is the major basis of employment of the Filipino youth. To graduate with a college degree is to have a good job and even improve their self-esteem.  Many of the youth today are confused and uncertain as to what path they should follow after their high school days. During the 1960’s and even today, people who graduated college found more job opportunities available to them than those who had a lower form of education. We believe that students who graduate college with the course suited for them will even have a higher percentage of landing a job. Statement of the problem: * What are the characteristics of the seniors in terms of: Sex: Age: Parents’ educational attainment: Parents’ occupation: Size of income: Sibling position: * What are the top three expressed career choices of the students? * What are the preferences of the students in choosing a career in college in terms of: Childhood aspiration: Family/Relatives: Peer/Friends: Values In demand jobs: School guidance counselor: Hypothesis ...

...Proposal Argument Workshop: (R) 11/21 & (T) 11/26 Due: (T) 12/3 A proposal argument is one that pinpoints a particular problem and poses a solution to it. All proposals will call for action, focus on the future, and center on audience. The ultimate objective is to get something done. To achieve this, the solution should be attainable and well-conceived; furthermore, proposals should provide enough evidence to convince readers that the solution will actually produce the effects it sets out to achieve. A proposal should always seek to put forth the best possible solution to a problem. For this paper, you should pick some contemporary issue that interests you (for example, gay marriage), consider your own position on this issue (gay marriage is a good thing), pinpoint a major problem associated with the issue (should gay marriage be legalized?), and finally pose a viable solution to this problem (Yes, because…etc). In this paper, you should try extremely hard to emphasize your ethos. Why should we trust you and, by extension, the solution you propose? In addition, you should certainly strive to provide logical, well-researched EVIDENCE that will support your claim (logos). You must first acquaint us with the issue/problem and then explain why your solution is the best possible response to this problem. The majority of your paper should focus on the SOLUTION you are proposing and your proof that this solution will work. Requirements: Ø 5 to 6 pages in...

Humor Therapy (Thesis Proposal)

...Chapter I INTRODUCTION Background of the Study Although pain is a universal experience, its exact nature remains a mystery. It is known that pain is highly subjective and individual and that it is one of the body’s defense mechanisms that indicate a problem. Unrelieved pain presents both physiologic and psychologic dangers to health and recovery. McCaffery 1999, defines pain as “whatever the experiencing person says it is, existing whenever he (or she) says it does.” Basic to this definition is the care provider’s willingness to believe that the client is experiencing pain and that the client is the real authority on that pain. Health care professionals recently have focused on the positive effects of humor and laughter on health and disease. Humor involves the ability to discover, express, or appreciate the comical or absurdly incongruous, to be amused by one’s own imperfections or the whimsical aspects of life, and to see the funny side of an otherwise serious situation. Humor in nursing is defined as helping the client “to perceive, appreciate, and express what is funny, amusing, or ludicrous in order to establish relationships, relieve tension, release anger, facilitate learning, or cope with a painful feeling” (McCloskey 2000). Many health care settings are now interested in providing humor as a caring skill and have recognized that “laughter is the best medicine.” “Humor rooms” are being created for clients and staff that are supplied with...
