3. How might factors such as diversity, attitude, learning, and work styles affect team building?

The United States is known for its diversity in cultures. We all have learned to learn and accept others for who they are and what they contribute, without judging the color of their skin or beliefs. Diversity could be a benefit the team. We all come from different backgrounds and therefore have different ideas. But in the same way all these ideas could create conflicts because we all think so differently. This is where our attitude plays a role. In our diversity wheel, we all seem to have scored closely in the attitude category. Attitude is one of the most important factors in team work. We all need to learn to listen and try to understand each other. We must analyze everyone’s work and give good criticism instead of just rejecting someone’s work.

Everyone has different methods of learning today. Some learn faster than others, this could definitely affect team building. We all have to be patient and help one another so we can all be on the same page. Some of us need extra help in understanding certain concepts, and in order to succeed as a team, we must all understand and help each other. Just like learning, we all have different work styles. People tend to work in different ways according to their life’s schedule. Some like to wait until the last minute because they work better under pressure, and team members must respect that. Others like to take their time and have an assignment ready ahead of time. Both of these are perfectly fine. What we all must consider are deadlines. To avoid conflict, we all have to understand that there are due dates and we have to respect one another and complete our parts in order to achieve the grades we all

Essays in Different Ways

...Essays can be written many different ways, but the traditional five-paragraph essay has essential elements that transcend all essay writing. Proper planning and organization is required when writing an essay, particularly when developing a thesis statement, which sets the focus and tone of an essay. The introduction, body paragraph and conclusion are the other primary elements of an essay. It is customary to prepare an outline before writing to give your essay structure and effective flow. 1. Thesis * The thesis is the statement of an essay that determines the primary focus. A thesis statement should be one coherent, concise sentence that clearly states the point of your essay. If you are writing a persuasive essay, the thesis statement is where you make your primary argument. A strong thesis statement is essential for an effective and cohesive essay. Traditionally, your thesis statement should be the last sentence in your introductory paragraph, but more relaxed styles of essays may have the thesis elsewhere in the introduction. 2.Outline * One of the main steps in writing an essay is creating an outline of material to create the most effective structure. Traditionally, outlines use a system of Roman numerals, upper- and lower-case letters, and numbers to classify points. Create one heading for each paragraph, including your introduction and conclusion. For each supporting paragraph in the body of your essay, list the most essential points you want to cover...

...Term (Research) Paper Outline Format The first section of the outline is the Introduction, which identifies the subject and gives an overview of your reaction to it. The introduction paragraph ends with your thesis statement, which identifies whether your expectations were met and what you learned. The Thesis statement serves as the focal point of your paper. It also provides a transition to the body of the paper and will be revisited in your conclusion. The Body of your paper identifies the three or more, major points that support your thesis statement. Each paragraph in the body should start with a topic sentence. The rest of each paragraph supports your topic sentence. Keep in mind that a transition sentence at the end of each paragraph creates a paper that flows logically and is easy to read. When creating the outline, identify the topic sentence for each paragraph, and add the supporting statements, evidence, and your own experiences or reactions to the subject underneath. The Conclusion wraps up your essay, serving as the other bookend in stating and proving your thesis statement. In outlining the conclusion, identify the thesis statement and add the main points from the body paragraphs as a recap. Don't add new information to the conclusion, and be sure to identify the closing Conclusion statement of your reflection paper. This sample shows how an outline format should reflect the main points of your paper, from start to finish: 1. Introduction ...
