When the interest rate was at 3%, 1,000 cars were sold as compared to 200 cars sold at the 8% interest rate. If we use the suggestion of the VP of Marketing and use the 7% interest rate, the dealership could forecast sales of 358 cars. This, in conjunction with a R2 value of 0.997738, is why I would suggest this forecasting model. The 7% interest rate could be affected by the downturn in the economy.
