FINAL PAPER in World Literature

SEA STORY by A.S. Byatt
The purpose of analyzing a story is to understand more what is hidden behind the story itself, it is to look between the lines. Like, why is the ending like that, or why is the character behaving like that. What are those events for, why are they happening and so much more. There are many questions that can be answered when we analyze a story and look deeply into it. This is very important because every story has it’s own relevance in our own lives, or maybe in our society. Usually, a story has it’s own moral lesson, or for the reader to learn and experience. This enables the reader to relate it to his or her life, what are the similarities and differences. One can analyze if some of the happenings in the story are true to life or not. In every setting, characters, and events that occur in the story, each has it’s own interpretation. It is also helpful in such a way to enhance the reader’s analytical skills. It is also to know more about the author itself, what the author is trying to tell us. What is his/her main focus, main goal, or objectives in creating such story. Is the author delivering us a message? Or waking us up in reality? There are a lot of things that we can reveal when we deeply analyze a story. It is not about how it began, or how it ended, but how the story goes and what are the techniques that the author used to portray a certain event. There can be symbols, for example a single light in a dark room could mean hope for others. My analysis of the story could also contribute to some that have their own interpretation in the story, not all people have same interpretations. It is really important for us to analyze the story, so that we can see the real beauty in it and how the author did well in letting us realize some things by writing a short

Applying the five functions can only improve any business that is willing to accept changes. At the time it was not known that the Boutique was using the five functions. The course made it clear that the owner was utilizing the five functions and the contribution it will offer to the business when practiced during operation. MANAGEMENT PRACTICE Effective Management Practices in the Workplace A good, effective management practice to use in any workplace is the five functions: planning, leading, organizing, staffing, and controlling (Reilly, 2011). A successful workplace has to have a great staff working to help it move forward. A great leader (owner) will ensure that employees are organized, informed of the planning, leading, staffing, and controlling to reach the goals of the organization. Working in the clothing industry is tough so applying the five-functions in the workplace will work when it is applied properly. To be successful managers and owners need to know the five functions, and how to implement them into the workplace. Success will be reachable and achievable when all five functions are taken seriously and applied into the business as a team effort. ...

Writing a Research Proposal

...research proposal is the presentation of an idea that you wish to pursue. A good research proposal presumes that you have already thought about your project and have devoted some time and effort in gathering information, reading, and then organizing your thoughts. A research proposal is NOT a project to be thrown together in one night with ideas off the top of your head. Thus, one might say that the research proposal is a second step, following the selection of a broad topic. The actual proposal will indicate what analytical question you wish to address. The foundation of a good research paper is a good research question. Just a tree needs a good root system to grow to be strong, a good research paper needs a good analytical question. What does "analytical" mean? An analytical question can take different forms and no one form is necessarily better than others. What all analytical questions have in common is the fact that they are not merely descriptive. That is, an analytical question moves beyond the "what" and explores the "how," and the "why." A good analytical research paper will use "the what" as part of the answer to "the why." But it is obligatory to address a question beyond the "what." For example, a descriptive paper would ask: "What was Gorbachev's economic perestroika policies?" An analytical paper would ask: "Why did Gorbachev's economic perestroika policies fail?" As part of the paper, you would then review what the policies were, but then you would go beyond that...

You are going to write your own paper, but you will be part of a group that will give you feedback about your paper before you turn it in for a final grade. In the workplace, good communication is almost always near the top of list of desired traits. It is also on the list of big problems! So, our final project is aimed squarely at communication. Specifically, you will be providing background information on a technical topic, presenting alternatives to solve a business problem related to this topic, and then recommending one of these alternatives to a business audience. In short, you are writing a business recommendation! Our overall goal is to be able to make technical recommendations to business audiences. An extra goal is to learn more about a topic related to telecommunications and present this information to fellow students so that they can learn more about it, too. The bi-weekly assignments guide you as you build your business recommendation one milestone at a time. This gives you a chance to get feedback from your fellow students as you work toward the final milestone. At the end, the information should be solid, all of the small mistakes should be fixed, and the final paper should be ready to grade. Your final recommendation paper must be 8-10 pages. This does not include the title page, the bibliography, or any supporting material (graphics, charts, etc.). The recommendation...

Recycling

...recycling and what it can do to our environment. While recycling has become part of the daily routine for many people, the full importance of recycling is not always understood. In general, people do understand that recycling helps to minimize the drain on the limited resources of our planet. However, there are several other factors that make recycling important which will be discussed in this paper. Although recycling may seem like a modern concept introduced with the environmental movement of the 1970s, it's actually been around for thousands of years. Prior to the industrial age, you couldn't make goods quickly and cheaply, so virtually everyone practiced recycling in some form. However, large-scale recycling programs were very rare -- households predominantly practiced recycling. The mass production of the industrial age is, in many ways, the very reason we need to worry about large-scale recycling. When products can be produced (and purchased) very cheaply, it often makes more economic sense to simply throw away old items and purchase brand new ones. However, this culture of "disposable" goods created a number of environmental problems. In the 1930s and 40s, conservation and recycling became important in American society and in many other parts of the world. Economic depressions made...
