In the factory, at first, the workers are solving the natural Manna in water, and then they boil it till it becomes something like sauce. Then, this sauce is added into a mixture of egg and sugar. After that, they put it on plate and add flour to it until it becomes tougher. At this stage the Manna is ready for slicing by an especial machine cutter. After all, the produced Manna will be putted in a machine to be packaged and be ready to sell.
Talking about packaging, every company, shop, brand, etc… should have a logo in order to be recognized by customers. And the logo should be a good representative because it is the symbol of the business. Let’s first talk about their logo. Their logo is simple; it is just a name, which is “Tofiq Halwachy.” They wrote it in two languages. The first one Kurdish which is their first language and the second language is English. Mr. Tofiq decided to choose blue color for their logo because blue is people’s number one favorite color around the world, 53% of world’s flag contains blue, and blue is the most used color in corporate identity. Also, they chose yellow on the plastic bag that contains Manna because in almost every culture yellow represents sunshine, happiness, and warmth. In addition, as Mr. Tofiq said yellow catches our attention the most among other colors. But there is a problem with selecting yellow to write on the plastic bag because Manna’s color is near to yellow, and it mixes with the color on the bag, so customers cannot read it well. Like every other sweet factories and shops, Tofiq Halwachy has different size of packages with different prices. As the size goes bigger the price goes higher. Besides having ordinary packets, they have special kind of packaging for weddings and events. What surprised me was their “VIP boxes,” as Mr. Tofiq said.
