Unit 14 Web Design - Website Evaluation
Firstly, my website meets the need of the users, clients and audience as it has information regarding Newcastle upon Tyne. As well as, there are contact details and images of the locations which is significant as this will allow the reader to be visually aware. Also, the tourist websites which I have looked at whilst evaluating the websites during Year 12 contained images and without them the presentation would appear to be dull and less appealing.
Also, my user said that the website looked professional and the information was clear to read due to the use of understandable font styles and font colour. This is significant to make the text appealing because too much brightness would result in difficulty …show more content…
This makes the audience want to read the information as the website appear to be more interesting.
The layout of AJS Maps websites is all the same, except the homepage which is different. However, it is important to have similar layouts to make it look professional. The page, text and image are centered. Right-aligned type blocks are similar to left-aligned type blocks. They are rarely used for conveying body copy in left-to-right reading cultures as the ragged left edge makes it difficult for the eye to follow the type smoothly. However, it is great for information and images, to align an oversized piece of type to add visual interest.
The information that is in the website is useful as it is about places to visit in Newcastle which is relevant information. The purpose of this website is to help the tourists find information about Newcastle. The font style is easy to read as it is the world's most common font style used and the colour black and dark blue were used as the headings because the background is white so using a darker colour will make the information stand out and have more clarity to it. The images, videos and external links make the website look professional and this allows the tourists to have an interactive opportunity which makes the website useful. The alignment of the images and the text is centered as I wanted to make everything neat and

...Integrative Design and Evaluation Jeanette Boxley American Intercontinental University Online Abstract When it comes to education and the new different type of technology that are available for use in the classroom, we as teachers must stay on top of the materials. Using these types of tools the teacher will be able to give the students the best possible education available for them. But these are only tools and teachers must be able to use them along with instructing the students on what the best way would be for each and every student in their classroom. Integrative Design and Evaluation Educational Technology Statistics Schools in 2003 did not have the computers needed to meet their student’s needs, out of all the schools in the United States the ratio of computers to students looked like this; there were 4 students for every computer. During this time frame there are only about 8% of the schools that would lend out laptops to the student body they had only about 5 computers available to lend out at that time. Also during this time frame about 10% of the public school system had some sort of hand held computer for both the students and the teachers to use during the school day (U.S. Department of Education). Out of all 50 states 48 of these included some type of technology standards in the years 2004-2005. During 2004-2005, out of the 50 states there were about 16 that offered or had some sort of charter school that were operating some type of cyber schooling...
