When a file infected with a virus is run, the virus code is run as well. Usually the virus code, when run, will attempt to modify other executable files by inserting a copy of it’s code into them. Automatic updates should also be turned on to help protect against viruses. The best option for complete internet security is to purchase a internet security suite. After the software is installed a virus protection window should detect the software and indicate the computer is protected. |
