In my assignment I will write about different electrical and non-electrical methods for communicating in a business using examples of the methods they use for different types of audience.

Audience requirements

Audience requirements are needed to be taken into consideration when presenting or delivering a presentation to a group. For example you need to take into consideration;

Age and attention span
You need to consider how old your audience is, as if you are talking to someone who is young they won’t have the attention to listen to what you are saying or be easily distracted, you would think about the way you spoke to people and change to suit your audience Gender
If you are talking about a specific product that you know won’t appeal to your audience they won’t listen to what is being said and overall won’t have an interest, making sure you know a bit about your audience will benefit the business as it will show to the audience that they took the time into researching before presenting their product.

Ethnicity/ religion
Making sure you use the correct words and making sure you don’t offend their religion or culture. Dressing correctly an example of this is if you know your audience’s religion is one where women have to cover their bodies, then it is your responsibility to respect this and wear the correct clothing, also if you have an opinion about their religion or views then it is best to keep it to yourself and you don’t want to cause offense to potential customers.

Special needs including disability, reading/hearing/learning impairments
You will need to take into consideration if someone is in a wheelchair is the room easily accessible, is their room to accommodate the wheelchair and people still get in and out, if someone is deaf having a signer there if they can’t understand lip reading and if they can making sure you speak
