A

mong the University’s many outstanding resources is its library system, rated one of the top five in North America. More than 40 libraries contain the most comprehensive collection of research material in Canada. There is residence space for over 8,300 students, a health service, an advisory bureau, an international student centre, a career centre, a housing service, restaurants, bookstores, athletic and recreational facilities and facilities for music, theatre and debate.

LOCATION Toronto is one of the friendliest and safest cities in the world. There are three locations at which students may study. Reflective Essay For The University Of New Mexico

...I wrote this essay for the University of New Mexico. The essay prompt asked me to describe a specific example of a time when I displayed leadership. I wrote many essays while applying for colleges. An essay centered around leadership showed up for almost every university I applied to. For this specific essay I decided to elaborate on my experience leading a Positive Action program and my time working with kindergartners. The essay had to be less than 350 words. The short length requirement was another common trend among the essays I wrote for colleges. Admissions officers read thousands of essays all addressing the same prompt. They want to see who can impress them with the least amount of words which creates a unique challenge for the student....

Narrative Essay For A Trip To University

...I got off the bus bored out of my mind, but I need the extra-curricular activities to apply for a scholarship to the university. I don’t have a real interest in geology but a trip to the Blanchard Springs Caverns was better than playing sports, or one of the bigger clubs and being subjected to carwashes and other such fund raising activities, not to mention having to deal with the other people in the clubs. The truth is that the geology club had very few people and very few requirements, other than going on at least one event, so it was ideal for my idea of participation. There were only a few weeks left before graduation, so this was my last chance to fulfill the club requirements, plus it was closer to our school's location than some of the other proposed trip sites so less time on a stinky bus, so overall win, win situation. There were just four of us on this trip, so really the bus seemed like overkill, but school rules would not allow the use of personal vehicles, not that I had one, but someone else’s would have been great. The teacher over us Mr. Jackson, calls us over to the sign...

Reflective Essay At Lesley University

...As soon as I tell people that I am in the process of applying to Lesley University, their face immediately lights up with an encouraging smile. They then proceed to tell me an informative fact or antidote about Lesley, which only strengthens my resolve to complete my Bachelor of Science in Human Services at Lesley. A few short years ago, the idea of college was not even on my radar. Today, as I sit and reflect on my journey I feel confident in my abilities to not only be successful at Lesley, but also advance my career in the human service field. Turning thirty years old, I found myself at a crossroads both personally and professionally. My options were to continue to jump from job to job with no real opportunity for growth or I could take a risk and make a positive change in my life. A close friend and mentor encouraged me to go back to school....

I will discuss how both universities are similar, what John Hopkins University has to offer, and what makes Peking University different, which will assist me in deciding what university is best for me. To begin, I will start with the similarities between the two universities. Both of the schools are well known in their respective countries, in addition the schools also offer the medical school program. Which is one of the key things I'm looking for in college. Another thing the schools share in common is they both give very good scholarships to the students who manage to get in.One final similarity between the two schools is that they both have a positive rate of graduation, however they are different in other areas that will be discussed....

Liberty University Mission Goals Essay

...The mission of Liberty University’s master of education school counseling program is to help graduate students prepare to work as school counselors in any learning environment that they desire to work in whether it is elementary, middle, high school, or the college level. The other mission goals for this program is teach graduate students from a biblical perspective in order for students to apply that perspective by helping children and adolescents with their academics, career, and social development. Mission goals also require that school counseling graduate students tend to not only children’s academic needs but also their mental health as well. This mission aligns with my personal goals in a way that as a future school counselor, I want to be a positive example when working with students and not only motivate myself to become a better person but to also help motivate them as well by making the right life decisions. The way that the mission aligns with my professional goals is that I also want to help students reach their full potential by help guiding them on what next steps to take in life whether it comes to choosing classes, preparing them for college, and help preparing for their desired career field. My main goal as a school counselor is to be a helping hand to students by becoming not only a positive influence but also making them feel worthy enough to achieve who they want to be in life just as how I was prepared as a young child. Stony Brook University Scholarship Essay

...I would be a good fit for the University Scholars Program at Stony Brook University because I strive consistently throughout my educational years to do better academically. I have maintained a GPA of 4.0, and is currently taking challenging classes, such as AP Calculus BC, AP Literature and Virtual Enterprise. Five years ago, I was still an ESL student, a girl in the worst class of my grade. English was a tough barrier in the way of my road to excellent education, but I overcame that obstacle by dedicating my leisure time to studying vocabularies, grammars, and all the other components of English Language Art. I believe that the only difference between humankind and animals is the way humankind challenge themselves to solve complex problems and to turn the impossibles into possibles. So, here I am, still provocating myself to study deeper into this language of art. To many, this would have been nothing. Yet, to me, this was how I survived ‘till the end of the game....

Montclair State University Admission Essay

...Applying to college is a big deal, but finding the school that fits everything you ever dreamed of is an even bigger deal. Montclair State University is the school of my dreams and even just being considered is an honor within itself. I can foresee myself being a Red Hawk and I have for quite some time now. There are so many fantastic qualities to be found in this University that I couldn't even begin to list them and narrowing down that list to a few reasons has been very difficult. My top three reasons for wanting to attending Montclair State University would have to be the atmosphere, the filmmaking major, and how accepting the school is as a whole. I recently visited the Montclair State University campus for the first time in my life and I was completely taken back. It's so beautiful, and dare I say breathtaking. Something about it just makes the campus feel like home. So many of the students on the campus that day had nothing but good things to say about where they were. College Admissions Essay: Loyola University

...I have learned a lot in my first year of college, academically and socially. More importantly though, I learned a lot about myself. To be more specific, I learned what values are important to me. In my first year of college I lacked, personal and intimate relationships and learning environments, a space to practice and grow into my religion, and the exposure to a student population with diversity. It was in recognizing that I was missing these things that I realized Loyola University would be a great fit for a student such as myself. Personal and meaningful relationships are very important to me. I grew up in a very close family of eight children, raised by parents who stressed the importance of having a tight familial bond. I graduated from a high school of only 36 girls, where I learned not only the benefits and importance of a small group of trusted friends and companions but the academic advantages as well. But my college experience thus far has not supplied me with the personal and meaningful relationships I so eagerly wish to have. I want to go to a school that values a small environment for it’s educational, developmental, and social benefits. A school that pushes its students to engage with each other in meaningful and powerful ways in and out of the class room. I believe that attending Loyola may supply me with this opportunity....

...There’s a girl who’s not your ordinary girl, by any means - she’s been through a lot more than you could imagine. This girl not only has faced miles of hopelessness, years of pain, and an ocean of sorrow, but also has been drowning in her own tears looking for an escape. This girl has taken on challenges with fear and fury. This girl is 17 years old, and every one of those years held a new obstacle to overcome. With her eyes full of betrayel and a heck of a fake grin, she doesn’t complain. From four elementary schools to a middle school and three high schools, she’s been through it all. She has been a “mother” to her brother, an angel to God, and a lost soul all at once. She is ambitious, outgoing, and will help anyone who needs it. She strives for the best and even what she can’t have. She wants a chance, a chance to make a difference. She has a story, one that should be heard. This girl is me. What do I have to lose? Kean University Essay

...“Rain, rain go away, come again some other day.” On September 9, 2012 as I sat on the beach with my family for their annual so long to summer picnic, dark clouds rolled in and it started to rain lightly. We were at first amused at the situation, but then had to decide whether to pack up and leave or stay and make the most of the day. Some sheltered under the beach umbrellas, while others shredded their clothes and went out into the rain in their bathing suits. The situation was amusing but frustrating. We laughed and wondered how it was that they could be so wrong sometimes and then hit it on the head at other times. In a matter of one hour the dark clouds and rain moved northward and the sun was shining brilliantly. . While I watched the skies and ocean, and felt the windswept sand hit my body, it came to mind that the weather and how it affects us would be a great career choice. Since I was young, I had an interest in the weather. Every morning I would look at the weather predictions to determine how to dress, and what outdoor activities I would be able to do. I am a skateboarder, and in the summer I go to the beach frequently, so the weather does affect the planning of my day. The weather is interesting, dangerous, and can be life altering for some people. Used as an event planner for many day to day activities, for agriculture, flight planning, fishing excursions and even planning military maneuvers, the weather is an important factor in our lives. I learned this situation when I decided to come in the US for education. Before I come to the US, I had to take a preparation course for English in Turkey. That’s why my writing history started like that spontaneously. I really don’t like to write as my personality; however, this is a necessity for enhancing the ability to write an essay. Particularly, academic writing is the most important part of the studying in university, and my earlier writing experience is related just academic writing which is some type of essay such as, process essay, cause and effect essay and compare-contrast essay. One of the types of essay that I wrote first is process essay. That was really important experience because I had never written this type of essay. A process essay explains a process by either defining it, explaining the steps for completing the process oneself or by showing how a thing works.
