An experience that transformed the way I viewed the world was through an internship called the Urban Alliance Junior HIPP program. In that program, I learned the necessary professional skills to help me prosper during my career. A few examples of the things I learned were the little things, such as a firm handshake, and proper attire for work. Some skills of mine that were sharpened through this program were my communication and public speaking skills.
This experience transformed the way I viewed the world because before partaking in the program, I was never exposed to anything regarding what it takes to be a professional after finishing college. Now, for example, if I have to be interviewed for a job, I am fully prepared to answer questions.
