Vet Tech is a company that specializes in animal care or the veterinary department. Vet Tech has multiple clinics across Texas and treats a variety of animals such as dogs, cats, birds, and many others. It is important that Vet Tech stays organized with multiple computer programs and software for both sanctity of the customers and their pets, and for maximum efficiency. Below is a list of the programs and software that Vet Tech uses to remain orderly and also discusses why we chose that particular program or software.

Recommending products takes a lot of thought and experience. A good advocate for any product review will have tested the product, not once or twice, but numerous times to assure the receiver achieves similar results. In the recommendation of these products, we assure only true and accurate results. Our company would never recommend a faulty product, even to our competitors. Our business only wishes for every animal to receive the best of care. In recommending hardware one must first own a computer that has the following: hard drive, optical drive, and memory. A desktop would be an ideal choice with these functions. A PC would be preferred seeing as it can perform more of the functions needed in this particular field in health care. The computer should will need a lot of memory for files and back up files. Veterinary technicians will need to be able to record information …show more content…
Our company will highly recommend obtaining Microsoft Office. In purchasing Microsoft Office the user will in turn buy with it Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Microsoft Access. All three of these tools are extremely useful in any science field. Any veterinary technician should also purchase a medical software such as IDEXX Laboratories IDEXX Cornerstone or McAllister Software Systems AVImark. We would also recommend a type of labeling and scheduling software. There are various types of technology to recommend to a business in this field. There are general types of needed, yet it would be more helpful if the company specialized in a certain area of the field. Overall we can recommend the use of general purpose laboratory test tubes, chemical sterilizers, stationary x ray equipment, and x ray cassettes. Each one of these tools preforms a specific task; weather it is to examine the animal for internal injury or test them for an unseen virus. Every equipment recommended is useful to any veterinary technician. Each piece of equipment, hardware, and software mentioned and recommended are very important in this particular science field. Software is important because it is able to help keep documents organized. Hardware is used to have a place to store all of your data. Lastly the equipment is what defines the business as a vet tech
