Simplistically, before it may have been a case of “What do they need to know?” and then relaying what the student needs to know for that particular subject, in a clear and concise manner, which may have been “got” by most students, but then they would have forgot the method shortly afterwards when it came to a formative or a summative assessment. Now I’m more determined to help students learn in a way that is going to be enjoyable to them and help them remember what they need to for the exam. This will involve doing more kinaesthetic and visual activities as a lot of learners learn by doing.
