Still waiting for the next spring…

I watched the black car speed down my street when I was standing in the balcony. I couldn’t believe what had actually happened. Tears collected in my eyes and trailed down my cheeks. I quickly ran downstairs hoping that nobody in the house could see tears in my eyes. Luckily that rainy day no one could actually realize that I was crying. The only person who could find out my tears even in rain was no more a part of my life. I plopped down on my bed and buried my face in the pillow. I tried to burry my emotions within me but the pain was so strong and my heart was broken. All the past memories clicked back in my mind. I had not seen him from the past eight months and today I saw him after such a long period. I have been thinking about him every second of this long period and although tears were running out of my eyes but I had never been so happy .He had been in my thoughts, in my memories and today I just saw him after a very long time. We had brought out the best in each other rather I would say we shared our lives but that day he threw it all away. I still remember those words and the echo of those words are still driving me mad. “I cannot continue this relationship and we cannot be together anymore. I am forced to take this decision” I wanted to ask him why, I wanted to scream at him asking for who is he alone to take decisions of our lives. I wanted to cry on his shoulder telling him that a life without him would be a life without living. But instead I just kept quiet afraid to look in his eyes for I knew I would break down. I didn’t say a word may be because I was never prepared for such a situation. I never knew that someone who has been holding my hand for so long will leave me in the middle of this long journey of life. And even today I am still standing on that very same place where he left me for there is no hope to

My plan for next year is to either start with the Maricopa Nursing Program if I happened to get in or I'm going to enroll in a private nursing school to complete my BSN in no time. I'm half way through with most of the classes most nursing school requires for a BSN, I did my research on the pricing, length of program, and the schools success rate. Waiting for Godot

...Logan McGeady 14 October 2014 ENG 121-020 Essay #2 Nothing To Be Done The play Waiting For Godot by Samuel Beckett engages the idea of what it means to be human and how meaningless life can really be. Beckett uses literary techniques to show that human life is based on chance, time is meaningless, and that people will impose meaning on life to distract themselves from the fact that their situation is unalterable. The realization of this drives the characters to rely on outside forces, which may or may not be real, for order and direction. The basic proposition Beckett imposes in the play is that chance is the main factor behind existence and human life. Therefore life is determined by chance and there Is nothing Vladimir or Estragon can do that can influence their life. This is established when Vladimir alludes to the story of the two thieves from the Bible. "One is supposed to have been saved… and the other…damned” (Beckett 4). The idea of percentage is important because this represents how the fate of humanity is determined randomly and without any reason. There is a percentage chance that a person will be saved and sent to heaven or damned and sent to hell, taking away meaning of human life and simply categorizing people into those who are saved, and those who are damned. Vladimir continues by citing the fault in the Gospels on the story of the two thieves. "And yet…[pause]…how is it that of the four Evangelists only one speaks of a thief being saved. The four of them...

...performing tier, or lowest performing tier. Teachers performing in the top tiers will be rewarded with public praise and annual bonuses, while teachers in the bottom tiers will be placed on probation which includes performance improvement courses. Teachers who are unable to improve their performance will be fired. The tactics to sell this plan to the Spring Branch Independent School District board will be based on consistency, intrinsic and extrinsic motivators, emotion, and the Expectancy Chain. Convincing the school board to fire underperforming teachers will challenge the educational status quo, but will improve the quality of education given to students. Reforming Education: Firing and Motivating Teachers Public education is failing in Texas. Texas ranks forty-first out of fifty states in high school graduation rates. “The research shows that kids who have two, three, or four strong teachers in a row will eventually excel, no matter what their background, while kids who have even two weak teachers in a row will never recover," says Kati Haycock of the Education Trust. To improve the quality of our educational system in Spring Branch Independent School District, particularly at the elementary grade levels, we need to ensure higher quality teachers in every classroom. Characterization of the young man: The young man is dressed in a light grey suit with a narrow tie and a top collar where the button is undone, he is far from rich and his appearance is described as having dark, short cut hair, light blue eyes and a fair complexion and on this soft spring evening, he was beautiful.
