The breeze is chilly and the scent of the falling snow is fresh. Today was the twentieth of December, which means starting from tomorrow it’s a winter break. I looked out the window and thought what I should do in these couple weeks off. Should I play video games all day, go on a trip, go hiking, hang out with friends? Who am I kidding? I have no friends. Well… at least no real friends. Ever since I moved from Canada to Montana I didn’t really know anyone. And I have to admit, I never had many friends in my old school either.

Daniel grabbed the latch and pulled on it. As the window opened and the snow slapped him on the face.
