With this method Outback can determine if an employee will fit with not only the job but the organization itself (Stewart & Brown 2009). Outback employees had to take care of others, and they were accountable for doing so. Outback Steakhouse have a competitive advantage because they chosen the right people through having a realistic job preview and testing methods. By Outback Steakhouse taking this approach it keep turnover rate down low and employee commitment high.
