Refuelling Schedule for Airport

...Refuelling Schedule for Airports By Kiran R K Jitha Babu Shyam S Sreeraj S CHAPTER 1 INTRODUCTION 1.1 REFUELLING Refuelling is an important aspect with respect to the airports since it determines the ground time of an aero plane. Aircraft fuelling can take up to 90 minutes of ground time. Hence, precise planning and allocation is absolutely essential. Once a flight lands in an airport it has to be refueled for the next flight. The quantity of fuel required depends on the distance it has to travel to reach the next station and type of flight. Aviation fuel is a specialized type of petroleum-based fuel used to power aircraft. It is generally of a higher quality than fuels used in less critical applications such as heating or road transport, and often contains additives to reduce the risk of icing or explosion due to high temperatures, amongst other properties. Aviation fuels consist of blends of over a thousand chemicals, primarily Hydrocarbons (paraffins, olefins, naphthenes, and aromatics) as well as additives such as antioxidants and metal deactivators, and impurities. Principal components include n-octane and isooctane. Like other fuels, blends of Aviation fuel are often described by their...

Successful Students

...Tips for Successful Students Throughout my whole life, I can always remember time management being a strong point, whether it be in school or work. The statement, “you will either control time or be controlled by it” (Lake, A. & von Baeyer, C. 2005) has always lingered in the back of my mind, as my parents would say this to me often when trying to balance life, school, and work. Having a strong sense of time management has given me the ability to balance whatever it is I am confronted with. Whether it be finding time to do school assignments while working full time and also continuing my busy life, or whether it be passing meds, doing dressing changes, placing a foley, and admitting a patient all within a busy hour, time management is essential. Not only does it allow for a less-stressful flow, it also allows me to accomplish my tasks in a timely fashion and feel organized and in-control of what I am doing. I feel having this characteristic as a strong point will help me in this course because not only do I work full-time at night, but I also- like most other students- have a busy life surrounding me as well. Being able to manage what is laid out in front of me will assist in me being a successful student, without neglecting work or my personal life. Procrastination isn’t in the equation for being successful, as leaving tasks for later can lead to mistakes or to be forgotten. Scheduling your time can only be done by you; Do it wisely. (Richie S. & Alspaugh, L. 2011). ...

Vaccination vs. Non Vaccination

...understand the things that your parents worried about as you were growing up that you never understood. So, now with your newborn you head off to the pediatricians office for his or hers first wellness visit to make sure your baby is healthy. As the doctor starts to speak with you about vaccines for your child, you have all these questions going through your mind. You question side effects, vaccine schedules, and most importantly the rumors of mercury in vaccines. There are four types of vaccines for immunizations. Live attenuated, which includes measles, mumps, rubella (MMR combined), Varicella (Chickenpox), Influenza (nasal spray), and Rotavirus. The inactivated killed vaccines include Polio (IPV), and Hepatitis A. The Toxoid, which is an inactivated toxin, is part of the DTaP combined immunization of Diphtheria and Tetanus. Last there is the Subunit conjugate vaccines which include Hepatitis B, Influenza(injection), Haemophillius Influenza type B(HIB), Pertussis (part of DTaP combined), Pneumococcal, and meningococcal. These vaccines are on the U.S. childhood immunization schedule for ages 0-6. Vaccines are given to children...

Increaseing Childhood Immunizations

...Abstract Data in regards to the rates of vaccinations among child has been decreasing. The reasons cited by parents are wide with concerns and fears leading to refusal. Healthcare providers play a major role in providing information for patients with questions regarding vaccinations and nurses are often on the front line when it comes to battling the resurgence of diseases such as the measles and pertussis. These providers must be comfortable, and understand the reasoning while discussing the reason for the vaccination, their schedule, and the effects of vaccines. There are several ways nurses and healthcare providers can help reduce the fear, and bring understanding to the parent who may be refusing vaccines. Some factors the nurse is unable to change, however there are ways to be able to make vaccinations more accessible to the whole population. Since vaccinations laws in the US were enacted in the 1960’s and 70’s, childhood vaccinations have been required to occur before beginning school. By the 1980’s all 50 states including DC required vaccinations for entrance into public school. Exemptions could be made for families that made the decision to refuse vaccinations based upon medical reason, religious reason, or personal philosophy (Blendall & Farre, 2012). Rates for non-medical reasons to withhold vaccinations have increased significantly over the past years, despite the evidence that communicable disease have declined, and documented safety...

Exploring My View on Vaccination Issues

...With reference to the thousands of family’s affected by reactions to vaccines and are not entitled to compensation as families in other countries are: 1) I think there should be avenues for support if a child is permanently disabled as a direct result of a vaccination (by participating in the vaccination program they are assisting in the maintenance of the herd immunisation of our country after all) 2) The numbers of any reaction reported and associated with medicine (including vaccines) in Australia are recorded at http://apps.tga.gov.au/PROD/DAEN/daen-report.aspx . These reports do not confirm causality but are a point for adverse reactions to be recorded from which the government can follow up on the safety of the reported medicines. Anyone can submit reports to this data base and the following information is from the TGA website: “Each year the TGA receives more than 17,000 reports of suspected adverse events to medicines and vaccines. In 2013 about 55% of these reports came via pharmaceutical companies, 17% from state and territory health departments, 10% from hospitals and hospital pharmacists and the rest from community pharmacists, general practitioners and consumers. The TGA asks for contact details from people making reports so that it can seek further information about suspected adverse events. The TGA does not accept anonymous reports. If you have any concerns about an adverse event it is important to also speak to a health professional.” With reference to comment...

Essay On Morality In Eli Samuels And Dr. Wyatt

... Morality and Ethicality pertain to the right or wrong conduct of an individual or society. There were many characters in this book that show that their actions are either moral or immoral. Two characters who are the least and most moral are Eli Samuels and Dr. Wyatt. In this book, Dr. Wyatt’s actions were the most moral because he was trying to help people out by genetically manipulating humans to create healthy babies and Eli was the least moral because he destroyed precious life by smashing his and other mother’s experimental eggs from the freezer. Dr. Wyatt’s actions were the most moral because he was helping out struggling people. Ava just wanted to have a baby of her own but it was too risky to have a baby that could be tested positive or negative for Huntington’s disease. Ava Samuels would be feeling really guilty on her part if Eli turned out to be tested positive for Huntington’s disease. Similarly, Many families are unable to have a child because of a fear that their child will be born sick. However, with Dr. Wyatt’s help, she was able to have a Huntington’s disease free baby. Even though the rest of her eggs were stolen and used for experimental purposes, Dr. Wyatt’s only intention was to create more healthy babies before it was too late for other families. “ I must be willing to give whatever it takes to do good to others. This requires that I be willing to give until it hurts. Otherwise, there is no true love in me, and I bring injustice, not peace, to those around...

Bcom 275 Week 3 Article Rebuttal

...Article Rebuttal Kao Saechao BCOM/275 February 9th, 2015 Dr. Sharla Walker Article Rebuttal Vaccination in children has been a touchy topic for today’s society. Do I vaccinate my child and risk life-changing diseases or do I not vaccinate my child and run the risk of other children catching diseases? On one hand, there are parents who decide not to vaccinate their children for the fear of long-term diseases such as Autism and other contaminates. And on another hand, there are parents who whole heartedly in vaccinations for their children. In an article, by S. Edmonson, the author believes that all vaccines are contaminated with diseases. The author believes as such referring to Dr. Maurice Hillerman; the former head of vaccines at Merck. Dr. Hillerman has stated on camera that all of their vaccines were contaminated with a virus. Should parents vaccinate their children? Yes, of course. However, the statement may not be untrue regarding if there are “vaccines contaminated with diseases”, there is still more to the story. What is a Vaccine? A vaccine, in essence, is made from a virus itself; contaminate or disease; if you will. A vaccine may be made from different forms of viruses such as: living or weakened, killed, or segments of other viruses. These different types of vaccines are no different from those we received as children. Varicella (Chicken Pox) is a vaccination most of us have received as children made from living forms of viruses. Other vaccinations...

Evelyn and Paul realize that refinancing is quite a hassle due to all the paperwork involved but with rates being down to 30-year lows, they don't want to let this opportunity pass them by. About 2 years ago, rates were down to similar levels but they had procrastinated, and had missed the boat. This time, however, the couple called their mortgage officer at the Uptown Bank and locked in the 5%, 15-year rate. Nothing was going to stop them from reducing the costs of paying off their dream house this time! Questions: 1. What is Evelyn and Paul's monthly mortgage payment prior to the refinancing? Paying Off That Dream House 2. During the first 5 years of owning their dream home, how much money has the couple paid towards the mortgage? What proportion of this has been applied towards interest? 3. Had the couple opted for the original I5-year mortgage proposal (15 year, 8%), how much higher would their monthly payment have been? When Evelyn and Paul Peters were "house hunting" five years ago, the mortgage rates were pretty high. The fixed rate on a 30-year mortgage was 8.75% while the I5-year fixed rate was at 8%. After walking through many homes, they finally reached a consensus and decided to buy a $200,000 two-story house in an up and coming suburban neighborhood in the Midwest. Vaccinations

...Side 2 Tamara Buie and Keri Means 1st Draft Question 1: Should vaccinations be compulsory? Vaccinations should not be compulsory. Parents should be able to decide whatever they choose is best for their children, as long as they are not being abused. The government should not be involved in parenting decisions. Vaccines are not always effective and can lose potency over time. There are legitimate reasons for parents to not vaccinate. Question 2: Should unvaccinated people be blamed for the outbreak at Disneyland? Unvaccinated people should not be to blame for the outbreak at Disneyland. The outbreak at Disneyland could have easily been spread by someone that had the vaccine 35 years prior and had the virus in their system, but wasn’t showing symptoms. There have been studies showing that vaccines lose their effectiveness over time. Also, people can develop autoimmune diseases that can make the vaccine less potent. Question 3: How relevant are gender and age in terms of vaccinations? Could there be an argument concerning discrimination (particularly as it deals with HPV vaccinations)? Gender and age are irrelevant in terms of vaccinations. There is not an argument concerning discrimination. Vaccines should have nothing to do with age, gender, or any discriminatory issue. The only thing that should be the point is letting responsible adults decide what they believe is best for their family, not what others believe. Question 4: What...
