Projected Web Development and Cost

With the roadmap for the proper implementation underway our attention should shift to the keeping the associated costs within our IT budget for a working website. The breakdown will include the following: Web hosting via GoDaddy.com in which we opt to use the Ultimate package at a cost of $7.49 a month. This will include a free domain name, with unlimited bandwidth, multiple email address and initial credits for Google Adwords, Bing Ads and Facebook Ads. The latter being an added benefit as we do not forecast to have sufficient traffic in the first quarter to generate the costs associated with traffic to our newly implemented site. Our next cost is the usage of CRM, specifically 1shoppingcart.com which will be handling our shopping cart feature with the added peace of mind knowing our transactions are secure. This CRM has a monthly cost of $99.99 per month or $1,199.88 yearly. The benefits of using 1shoppingcart are email marketing tools, no setup fees, customer support and mobile commerce. This is worthy investment given our limited IT budget as it will allow us to focus on our core business while still being able to implement our web presence in a safe environment. An additional expenditure during the website implementation phase will be the upgrading of one terminal per store to ensure that any system failures per branch are minimized, while at the same time ensuring that the employee charged with the constant contact with the CRM application per store is using the most trustworthy equipment. Lastly, an allotment of for a web developer to assist in the implementation of our website will handled in a bid fashion. By being able to request a bid, we are able to contract to the work to someone within our region, who will have a better scope and sense of what our demographics are. A quarterly allotment will also occur for the provision of routine maintenance of our site, thus ensuring that our website stays up to date with the changing environment. The pages being introduced are focused on key aspects of our core business. The first page will allow user information at a glance regarding who we are as a business with a welcome message, tabs for sections such as About Us, a Services tab and a Payments tab. Also, a short demographic description accompanied by vital contact information via phone contact and physical headquarters branch location is located within our main page. Another key aspect of selections within the main webpage will be the social media section which will allow a user to sign up to be follower for our business via either Facebook or Twitter. The second page is accessed via the About Us tab, this will provide a user a more comprehensive view about who we are as a business as well as providing a consumer our branch locations along with hours of operation. One great feature within the About Us tab will be the insertion of a Mailing List feature which will allow both current and prospective customers the option to enlist for our company newsletter which provides current information regarding our business, new services as they become available and any type of special promotions or events we might be implementing. The third tab within our webpage will be the Services page which will allow consumers information, in list format, of the services which our branches offer. Lastly, the fourth tab within our webpage will the Online Payments, which will be dedicated for making payments via our CRM which in this case will be 1shoppingcart.com. With the implementation of this feature current customers will be able to visit our site and proceed to initiating a payment on their existing accounts in a safe and secure manner, thus being able to project a level of security to most consumers come to expect when transferring their traditional payment methods into the virtual world.

...Part C. Web Development and Maintenance Costs As detailed in parts 1 and 2 of this proposal, the Mountain Heritage Inn will be redesigning their website. Their new website will feature a more aesthetic design and more sufficient content. Additionally, it will incorporate the capability for potential guests to check availability and reserve their room online. Once the new website is designed, developed, and launched, Mountain Heritage Inn will embark on an online marketing plan to expand their web presence. Before the website design can begin the Mountain Heritage Inn will need professional photos of their rooms and property, as it has been almost 10 years since professional photos were taken of the property. We will be hiring an outside photography company to do this. Additionally, Mountain Heritage Inn will hire a graphic designer to redesign their logo, as the current logo is very outdated. Once these items are complete, the web design and development stages will begin. The firm we are hiring, Firstview Online, to design and develop the website will also be hosting the website. Moreover, considering they are a full-service Internet marketing agency, they will also be handling the SEO and PPC campaigns. During the development phase, Firstview Online will work with Reservation Nexus, the company providing the online reservations software, to implement online booking on the website.
