When most people think of a mother, they picture staying at home, cleaning the house, and cooking for the family. However, being a mom goes much further than just the physical needs of the family. It means to give your entire life and soul to those who you love. It means to spend sleepless nights when the kids are sick, or teaching them to talk, walk, and eventually to run down the streets in front of your house. Being a mom means a new life with many challenges.

In my life my mother does all these things and more. She is the embodiment of love and kindness in the world and without her my life would never be the same. She is my role model and everyday I strive to accomplish what she has, because I know that she loves every day of life even …show more content…
I could tell that she was in an argument by the way I could hear her voice from across the house. I knew she was upset and I didn’t know what to expect when the call was over however, as the call came to an end she stood up with a large smile on her face and gave me a hug and asked how my day was. I think it was at this point that I realized just how much my mom loved and cared for us. This moment may seem small yet; to my little 3rd grade brain it showed me something much greater. This moment showed me that no matter how bad the day was my mom will always care for us. No words can describe how hard my mom works and because of dedication to her job and family I want to work just as hard if not harder to be like her.

Like I said earlier my mom isn’t typical compared to the average family. Unlike old stereotypes my mom earns the main income for my family. She works each and every day to provide for our family and still has time for countless other things.
When I was in the middle school my entire family came down with the flu. My brother and I were both bedridden for a few days as well as my dad. Somehow through the sickness my mom still cared for each of us. She made her famous chicken noddle soup and grilled cheese and made sure we all had the right meds. Not only did my mom care for use but also she still participated in conference calls and meetings. The one word that comes to mind hen describing my mom is a machine. Through all the challenges and adversity she continues to work hard and care for all of

What Does Resiliency Mean To My Mom

...Resiliency ultimately equals my mom. Through raising my brother and I as a single parent, and EVEN through the death of my brother, she has never given up. She has always worked hard and pressed forward, positively. To me, that is resiliency. She has set such a strong example for me to view life realistically but also with optimism. My mom is still the sweet and loving person I have always known her to be. Through all her tragedies, she has remained stable and a rock in my life. To me, that is resiliency. It takes physical and mental resilience to run a marathon. I started distance running in 2015, and the amount of dedication and effort required to train to run 26.2 miles is enormous. Beginning a marathon race is quite daunting when you think...

What Are the Opportunities in Ethically Dealing with Customers?

...Aigerim Karimova Marketing, 11.816 Essay What are the opportunities in ethically dealing with customers? Do we really need ethically dealing with customers? Why? Can we have a deal with client without ethic? Where will it lead? I will try to give answers on these questions that you have read above in my essay. I would like to describe short stories which happened with my mom in the past. First story is about her job in travel agency as Tourism Manager. She worked in big company that had a lot of clients. A big amount of clients means high salary. Everybody knows that. There were a competition between workers; everyone wanted to have one or two rich clients according to whom they could not be afraid about salary and profit from selling. So, these travel agents forgot about ethics and openly told to poor or medium clients that they had nothing to offer them. It was awful. They fended off them as if from annoying flies. There was such situation as client came and worker cast him out just glancing at him. This client came to my mother and told her about such attitude. She was a top-manager and she was obliged to solve the problem. When I heard about this attitude to clients, who did not have enough money to order “VIP” tour, I was outraged. It’s unfair. I think that any kind of business it’s first of all service. These workers has a job, they should serve clients and earn money. Elementary, if they understand that client cannot pay for expensive journey, they should have...

Parents: I Turn to You - Christina Aguilera

...I want to write about my mom. My mom is one of the most important people in my life. Everything my mom says or does have an impact on my life. She is the only person who knows more about me than I do. No matter what happens in my life, no matter how good of a day or bad of a day I am having she is always there for me. She is the only person who will take time out of her busy schedule to talk to me about the littlest things. She is always there for me and that is why I chose I Turn to You by Christina Aguilera as the song that best describes our relationship. This song has the lyrics that best exemplifies my relationship with my mom. She is always there for me and she is the one person I can turn to for anything. Even when I have friends who let me down I know she will never do that. She cares about me so much and will be there for me through everything. She has never abandoned me in a time of need and I know she never will. As I get older I come to realize how much my mom means to me and what an important factor she is in my life. It would be very hard to pick out a part of the song that I like the best and that describes our relationship the best because the whole song does it. But if I did have to pick out my favourite lyrics of the song, it would be the bridge: For the arms to be my shelter through all the rain/For truth that will never change/For someone to lean on/For a heart I can rely on through anything/For that one who I can run to. My mom parenting style is mostly...

Research Paper

...Heroes Paper The world needs heroes, but what really is a hero? A hero is someone who shows remarkable perseverance and courage. Perseverance means that you never give up and courage is when you are not afraid to do something. A hero should also be hard working which means they always do their best and does it diligently. Anyone who shows any of these qualities is a hero. A true hero is a person that is hard working. Jackie Robinson is perfect for this. He was the 1st African American to play major league baseball in history. His road to success was not so easy though. He was mistreated by all of the other white players in the league because they didn’t like him. Jackie Robinson was constantly getting big cuts on his legs because when he would slide into base, the other players would get him with the bottom of their cleats. Jackie Robinson was on the Brooklyn Dodgers so many of his own teammates did not like him. Many of the pitchers from other teams threw the ball at him which gave him many bruises. Despite all of this, Jackie Robinson became a star in baseball and led the Brooklyn Dodgers to a World Series appearance. This example of Jackie Robinson shows that no matter how much adversity you go through, if you keep on working hard, you can achieve great things. Heroes also show the great quality of perseverance. Harriet Tubman is someone who showed exemplary perseverance. She was a slave that worked hard, but was still abused by her plantation owner. One day she decided...

Sociology

...Gay Dad ? In our society today our family dynamic has changed very much, and has come a long way. As of right now in 2012 we have the most diverse families such as ; two Moms, two Dads, One mother , one Father, father and mother, and interracial couples as well. In the article Gay donor, Gay Dad? It related a lot to what we were taught in class about aspects of families and the sociology of the family. Sociology of the family is the systematic study of a family, how they live? Who does the parenting? Who does household chores, occupations, and much more. In this article it talks about two same sex parents who are seeking a gay male to donate his sperm so they can raise a family. It relates a lot to what we were taught in class because we discussed in class about same sex marriages and relationships, and would it be difficult for the kid to be raised with two mommies or two daddies. In the article it also discusses who does the diaper changing and takes care of the kids most of the time. In class we spoke about parenting and sometimes there are women who are just single mothers and do all of the work, and vice versa with fathers. In our society today there are so many different aspects to what one may call a “family”, and by that I mean that one child who does have two mommies or two daddies, or just one may love it and be fine with the life we live. In our society today I think that we are slowly adapting to other ideas of a family...
