A factor that plays a complicated role with regard to stress is culture. On the one hand, culture is considered as a factor which can protect against stress, but on the other hand there is also a viewpoint that culture can make stress more likely. This essay will demonstrate that the harmful role of culture outweighs its protective rolewhen we consider culturogenic stress and culture shock.
