I would like to be accepted in the Honors English class for my freshman year at high school. There many ratiocinations as to why I desire to be in the class, and reasons as to why I should be considered to possibly have an opportunity to participate in the program. I presume as if I hold many attributes that determine and compel me to be in the course. Additionally, there are various ambitions that I hope to attain, if I am conceded in the program.

To start, I want to be admitted into the class for a variety of contrasting reasons. While growing up, I have always pushed myself to my full potential. I strive to get good grades, and do the best on my assignments in school, and anywhere else. Therefore, I want to surround myself with others

The Most Useful Class

...The Most Useful Class When it comes to public speaking, most people will tell you that they hate it and will never ever do it. Well if you ever want to become successful in your future, then it is a MUST that you take public speaking. It is a class that will benefit you for a life time and you will have NO regrets whatsoever taking public speaking. I myself learned a lot in public speaking. I took the class in high school, so I was kind of familiar and comfortable with it. But the high school class wasn’t as in depth as the college course is. I plan on joining the United States Marine Corps this fall. I know for a fact that public speaking will already put me ahead of all the other marines when I join. Most people think Public Speaking only applies to speaking in front of a large audience or a formal speaking type setting. But it doesn’t! Not only has this class helped me speak in front of large audiences, but it has also allowed me to become a better communicator as a person as well. And this is important in our everyday lives as humans. If you don’t learn how to properly communicate with another person then you won’t be very successful in life. This class is one of the key main ingredients when it comes to success in life. This class helped me build my speaking confidence as well. It will teach you principles and techniques that help you mentally when speaking in front of people. I have a buddy who wants to major in business for his college degree and he asked me if a...

What I Have Become

...| What I Have Become | Sandtron Leon Harrell | | | | Approaching the end of my Fall Semester of 2011 I had accomplished one of the greatest things in my life. I had become a member Omega Psi Phi Fraternity Incorporated. All was well and I felt as though there was not too much else for me to conquer. Then as the semester drew to a close being advised and selecting classes for the Spring Semester began to be advertised all over myUWG. So to rid myself of all the irksome alerts of West Georgia I went and got advised. While selecting my classes my advisor brought up Personal Relationships. When I first heard it the first two things I thought were “my girlfriend took that class” and “she said it was easy.” So with me being the collegiate student I am I decided I would take it. I figured why not I’m in a personal relationship I should be able to relate. The first day of class was definitely not what I expected. I did not know that my teacher would look, think and talk like a student! From then on I knew that this was class was going to have the biggest impact on me, the way I thought, the way I talked, the way I evaluated relationships and how I looked at my life’s up and downs all together we’re going to change in due time. From the time I got advised up to the first day of class I honestly thought that this was just going to be another class. When in reality it wasn’t just another class, it was going to be THE class. From January 10, 2012 and so on, my life would...

Personal Theory Paper

...Paper My Thoughts Your Thoughts Why do people think the way they think? We will never know why people mind wonder the way it do. There are too many people out her in this world that never sat down and used their mind before they commit a crime, violence, sexual abuse, physical abuse, verbal abuse, and etc. Sometime I think like why can’t people use the good part of their minds before they do something negative. I sometime sit and think about the things that I have done in my passed and say to myself “I should have not did that or said that”. I realized that we don’t think alike but I think about how or what made them think that way. Sometimes I feel like I can help people by talking to them to get them to think like me but that’s all a fantasy and my world. I always wonder when I am around my friends what are they thinking about and why. I always wanted to be a Register Nurse, a Teacher, a Police Officer, a Social Worker, and a Probation Officer. When I see one of them I think to myself what if I was in their shoes how would I preform my job and what type of mind frame I would have. I sometime try to sit back and analyze why people do what they do. I think that I can change a person way of thinking by giving them good advice but sometime you cannot help people especially if they do not want the help. People have 1 choose and either you go positive or you go negative. We also have options and we as people do not use it. The theory and the theorist I like is Center-Person Therapy...

Why Physical Education Should Not Be Mandatory in College

...I firmly believe that gym class should not be a mandatory part of a college schedule. Simply put, I think this in large part due to the fact that other venues and activities exist for the opportunity to get oneself in shape, as well as the point that why should a student be made to take a class when he is paying a lot of money out of his or her own pocket for their tuition? He or she should be given their own choice when it comes to taking a physical education course of any kind. While the opportunity to take the class should remain, the choice to make such a class mandatory is imprudent and arbitrary, at best. If someone wishes to get themselves in shape, they can find the time to go to a gym, or find the time to run a track. As busy as a student’s life is, it is not so busy that some time cannot be put aside for their own health and physical well being. In fact, this should be one of a student’s most important priorities, and should not be difficult to pencil into a schedule. There are many ways outside of class that a student can get exercise. They could walk, run, swim, work out, play any variety of sports; the list can be unending. In short, activity can be done so it is both healthy and something a student wants to do. So why implement it as a mandatory activity that some students would not want to participate in? Some may feel that they already get enough exercise as it is: there would be no need to participate in a physical education class as they already...

...1.     How the Encapsulation is different from Abstraction? I think both are used to hide the unnecessary details? Then how they are different? Ans. Yes, Both Encapsulation and Abstraction do the same thing but with few differences. Encapsulation mainly encapsulates the object and so hides the details as well as it binds the data.  So Encapsulation = Hiding + Binding the data How it hides the data? Real-time Example? Take the example of n-Tier application where we have an additional layer called Business Objects. This layer contains all the entities with their properties. Take an entity name: Employee. This Employee will have the class name "EmployeeBO.cs" and contains the public properties like EmpId, EmpName, Sal ets EmployeeBO.cs So this is the presentation of one property in the Business object class. Now wherever we want this attribute, We just need to create the object of this class and set/get the value of EmpId as: // set the EmpId EmployeeBo objEmployeeBO = new EmployeeBO(); objEmployeeBO.EmpId = 101;      // get the EmpId int empId = objEmployeeBO.EmpID; Now the question is where its setting or getting the value? EmpId is the public property in the EmployeeBO class and contain no value. Only _empId contains the value which is private and so it is not accessible. So binding of the data happens to the EmpId through _empID and hiding happends through _empId which is private. The Data is accessed through the Public property while the actual data is...

Ab Calculus Research Paper

...There are many reasons why I want to take AB Calculus next year. The first reason why I would like to take AB Calculus is that this course will challenge me and help me excel in college when I take other calculus classes. In college, I will be pursuing a major/degree in business, and AB Calculus will lay a solid math foundation for me to excel in college. I will prepare over summer break, with a tutor if necessary, to get caught up with the Honors Pre-Calculus class and make sure that I am ready for AB Calculus when school starts. I missed getting into AP Calculus by one point and I do not want to be in a slow-paced math class my senior year because of this one point. I do not believe that one point should dictate what class I should be placed...

Strategies for the Technical Professional: Goals

...1.) Why are you pursuing a degree at ITT Technical Institute? I am pursuing a degree at ITT Technical Institute because I am tired of my current career. I want to challenge myself. I look at all the technology around me and think “Wow, I want to be a part of that!” But mostly, I want to have a career that I can be proud of and that I can really enjoy doing. I think ITT Technical Institute has a very good reputation and an exceptional success rate when it pertains to students finding the careers that they are looking for. I want to be a part of that. In the future, when I tell employers where I have gone to school, I hope that they will be impressed. I hope that they well think to themselves “We need him.” I think ITT Technical Institute can do that for me. What are at least two goals that you have set for yourself in general? A: One of my general goals is to stop procrastinating. I have a bad habit of putting things off until the last possible minute before I finally set out to finish whatever task it is that is pending in my life. I hope to train myself to see what needs to be done and not think that I can let it wait. That I have to do other things that are more important. Or convince myself that I don't really have to do that certain task in the first place. I think that I can use the experience of going back to school so late in my career, as a catalyst for a change in my procrastinating behavior. Getting a degree, while balancing a full-time job and...

Case Analysis   1. Would Enterprise’s Approach to Human Resource Management Work in Other Industries?       A. I Think That Enterprise’s Approach to Human Resource Management Would Very Well Work in a Lot of Industries.

...    a. I think that Enterprise’s approach to human resource management would very well work in a lot of industries. One example of an industry that would benefit from this type of human resource management would be fast food industries. It allows people who may not have graduated in the top of their class and who may not have had the best GPA in school to still qualify to enter the company with a degree. They can show off their good work ethic and dedication by starting off at the bottom and working their way to the top. Having said that, job loyalty is greatly promoted in industries that perform in this way.   2. Does Enterprise face any risks from its HR strategy?       b. Of course Enterprise faces risks from its HR strategy, as well as any other industry hiring brand new employees. There is always the struggle of teaching new employees the rules and strategies of the industry they are working for. They have to go through a training session to tell them what is expected of them and how they should go about doing their job. One good thing to note about Enterprise’s HR strategy is that they like to hire former athletes and former people who have been in a club of some sort so that they at least know they are hiring someone who has been dedicated to something at some point, and hopefully they can be just as dedicated to their job.   3. Would you want to work for Enterprise? Why or why not?       c. Personally, I wouldn’t see myself working for Enterprise. Knowing I went to...

The Men Who Built America Analysis

...Why I think we should watch The Men Who Built America in class. We are learning mainly about American history in class, right? Well this show is a little more advanced in history than what we are learning now. If we have spare time, like before Christmas break and you want to do something fun, but yet educational at the same time, this the best answer for you. Now this show has four episodes in it, each one is an hour and a half long. If you are teaching American history this show is well-suited for this class, not only is it history but it explains why things are like they are today. For example, John D. Rockefeller is featured in this show. Rockefeller reciprocated the instery of oil. So before Rockefeller, oil was used in lamps, oil lamps...

Time Check

...Time Check July 21, 2014. It was another Monday and it was a school day. I woke up early and drove to Ateneo de Manila University where I took up chemistry with materials science engineering. It was my first year in college and the semester just started a month ago, so I was only beginning to get to know the people in my course. On that Monday, my first class was chemistry and good thing that it was only a 50-minute class. I cannot take in all the formulas that Dr. Valera just discussed. My stress level was already too high. It was 8:20 am. My blockmates, Mariel, Diego, and Magin wanted to eat first before their next classes start. They have class at 9:30 while my next one was at 10:30, so we all headed to JSEC which was a cafeteria. After choosing a table, I volunteered to reserve the table and keep guard of their bags while the three of them went to food stalls to order. I checked my phone and it was 8:30 already but still I see no sign of him. Magin was the first one who got back and sat down with his bacon and eggs with fried rice. I expected that he would have mentioned his name, but he didn’t. Instead, he talked about how difficult it was to remember all of the dates in our upcoming history exam next week. I agreed and started asking him what the coverage of the exam was, so that he wouldn’t notice that I wasn’t paying much attention to what he was saying. The truth was I just wanted to go home and cry myself to sleep. Mariel and Diego sat down...

...laugh and then they by nature become less judgmental, at least for that moment. That will be one of the themes with this EP- promoting non-judgment, On the part of everyone. I feel that here at cambridge for instance, there is too much judgement ingrained in the community regarding business and finance. There is judgment about social welfare. One is good one is bad. Most of our class is studying finance, and from who I have met so far, most of our class come from good families, have a sense of values, and have very VERY warm hearts and open minds. They are good people, They are creative thinkers, they are funny, they are multidimensional. They want to learn from you. They wanted to leave their country and meet people from other cultures. They want to KNOW about other cultures, they want to share their passions and interests and couple that with learning about yours. We are intellectually curious. We are open to discussion about virtually anything. We all respect each other. Everyone is so nice, so friendly so warm. I feel that I have already learned a LOT about who I am. I am EXTREMELY intellectually curious. I didn’t realize how much so until I got to Cambridge. Cambridge is an environment that prompts you to think and ask questions and re-evaluate everything, on a daily basis. I have read more books at this point on topics outside of finance than I have for my classes. That type...

That ultimately effects the way the students look at life, depicting the way they feel about their own individual empowerment. If a student feels as the school system is set up for them to fail, the odds are they have had a negative experience in the way the teachers teach and handle them.
