My long-range goals for my career started my sophomore year. I made the decision that when I graduated high school my associates degree from State Fair Community College would be complete. I have spent the past two summers taking college classes, mission trips, and community service.
When I graduate this coming year I will have accomplished this goal while maintaining a good high school grades and being active in clubs/sports. I am now looking at local colleges. The cheerleading coach at Missouri Valley has talked to me about recruitment. This has motivated me to take tumbling classes one day a week to make this team. I chose this career path, because I have job shadowed anesthiologist before an enjoyed it. My biggest passion is being able to help people which I feel anyone in the medical field is able too do.
I know that none of these goals will be accomplished if I don't have determination, passion, and balance.
Determination has helped me achieve my goal of accomplishing my associates degree when I graduate high school. I know there is no way I will be able to make it through medical school without this skill/value. This is important to any aspect of your life.
Passion is what has helped me be a little bit closer to my dream of cheering in high school. If I didn't have passion for cheering I wouldn't be taking extra classes just for tumbling. The passion I have for cheerleading is the same passion I have for the medical field. I created this passion through the medical explorers program. It showed me how easy it is to help a person in need.
Balance is needed to maintain a good physical and emotional health. I have to balance studies, cheering, social life, and sleep. This will be something I will also have to manage in my college
